but still, ung mga ibang features kasi ng canon nakakahili sakin ng konti, though feel ko d ko rin nmn magagamit for now cguro un (like ung 1080p 20fps video)
mas mahal pa ng konti ung canon, kaya leaning towards nikon ako..
still need some opinions na magpupush sakin over the fence
dude, ano choices mo? 500d vs d5000? choices ko rin yan, went for the d5000. nikon kills canon, canon just has better marketing.
nagsisisi lang ako na dapat d90 binili ko imbis na d5000. malaking tulong kasi yung mga dedicated buttons pati top lcd screen ng d90, plus nagaautofocus siya sa non-afs lenses. pero its not a big deal, d5000 is essentially a d90 in a more compact, affordable body. nikon talaga :)) if you decide to go for the canon, its still an excellent camera, seriously, so win-win situation ka kahit anong mangyari :-D

those are my opinions, don't trust me im a newbie
canon and nikon are both excellent manufacturers, as i mentioned earlier, win-win situation.
they have their pros and cons. but most of the time the cons dont really matter

EDIT: i know someone who had gone from canon to nikon dslrs and explained to me how nikon ergonomics is better

Ouch, sorry can't open multiply here at work. : www.flickr.com

Browse ka rin dyan, type the model number of your camera and a lot of photos will appear that were taken using that camera. Exif's are available too.

And add me!  :-D

ako I started with Canon EOS 1000f Film SLR nung college days ko..
and I loved that camera na pag aari na ng tropa ko ngayon.

nakagamit na rin ako ng old nikon SLRs (yung bakal pa yung body at yung aperture eh kino-control mo via the "aperture ring" sa base ng lens at hindi sa body), parehas lang naman ang feel.. yung tunog pa ng shutter nun eh parang gatilyo ng baril (without the BANG ofcourse).

then a year and half ago eh I returned to photography starting with the D40 and eventhough nakagamit ako ng Canon 400D tsaka Canon 450D eh I chose to keep the D40 hanggang I decided to sell it a month ago to return to point and shoot..

I'm a nikon user but i'm a fan of Canon L lenses as well as their primes.

Went to Pixel Pro and bought a Tripod, sayang walang silang Flash Diffuser:( Anyways, next target: Lens Hood, Battery Grip, Macro Extension Tubes

Question lang, yung extension tubes ba pwedeng substitute for Macro Lens? May nakita ako sa Multiply eh.

http://filtersxchange.multiply.com/photos/album/52/MACROTELE_Kenko_DG_Teleplus_Extension_Tube_Set

Extension tubes are designed to enable a lens to focus closer than its normal set minimum focusing distance. Getting closer has the effect of magnifying your subject (making it appear larger in the viewfinder and in your pictures). They are exceptionally useful for macro photography, enabling you to convert almost any lens into a macro lens at a fraction of the cost while maintaining its original optical quality.

The DG extension tubes have no optics. They are mounted in between the camera body and lens to create more distance between the lens and film plane. By moving the lens father away from the film or CCD sensor in the camera, the lens is forced to focus much closer than normal. The greater the length of the extension tube, the closer the lens can focus.

The KENKO DG AUTO EXTENSION TUBE SET contains three tubes of different length, a 12 mm, 20 mm, and 36 mm, which can be used individually or in any combination to obtain the desired magnification. Kenko also makes a DG UNITUBE 12 mm or 25 mm which can be purchased individually.

Sayang, meron pa sana mas mura kaya lang out of stock :-(
