For now I just want better speakers for the studio. Can you build me a good quality speaker? I had some built and the they blow up easy. I use 50% output on my amp (500watts) and the speakers are supposed to be 400 watt and they keep blowing up.

maybe your amp.. is not a ordinary amp.. maybe its a power amp. and your speaker do not much its capacity?

i have a 1100 amp. devided by 2.. 550x2 per channel.. and my speakers are only 300watts.. but still they can take a half of volume of my amp.. with proper EQ.. sori for my grammers coz im not good at english..

so may be your amp has a capacity up than 500watts.. and not totaly 500watts.. maybe its just his minimum.. your lucky you got such a amp like that. maybe you can connect two 500watts speakers on each output and you will going to have a 4 speakers.. this is just my option.. and not sure ok..

Hmm, Thank you for your information. I have a couple of friends who are Filipino and when i get the internet hooked up (should be Monday or Tuesday) I will get them to log on and talk to you. I 'm in Vietnam working now and will not be back till Sept.

I think i've posted this before regarding power matching of speakers and power amps. To get a better headroom your power amp power rating must be higher than the power rating of your speakers. Your best bet is to have an amp which has double power than your speakers. Most people thought that having higher power rating on speakers than the amps would give them louder or better sound quality. If you drive the amp to its maximum it will distort the sound that may likely to damage both speakers and your amp.

It is also necessary to know how much load can your amp drive. Can it drive 4ohms load for example. Branded pro audio products particularly speakers had their TS parameters printed in order for the consumer have an idea where they will use it. Are they going to use it for Subs or Bass for example.

Mahirap po kasi mag repair and yung materials use is tumaas na ang price.  Sulit ka naman sa quality ng trabaho.
