« on: July 31, 2014, 05:10:19 PM »
The first time i touched a PC was a MS-DOS Based PC Back in 1995 where we are students with computer subjects.

Whats your history with computers? Calling the IT Geeks from 80's. lets see how our technology fared enough that time,
Here is the format

[Equipment-OS-Processor-RAM]
[Life Span]
[What made it cool that time]

1.
Desktop PC, Windows XP, Pentium 4, with 64MB VRAM, NVIDIA, 128MB SDRam PC133
Born 2002 - Died 2006
Paid 2000 php for a 64MB VCard and mabilis na ang counter strike nun, OPEN GL!

2.
Compaq Presario 2800 Laptop, Windows XP, Pentium 4, 128MB VRAM ATI Radeon, 256mb SDRAM PC1333
Born 2005 - Died 2008
Can play 3D games smoothly and Online games, LCD Screen which makes it portable

3.
Macbook Air, Mac OSX Leopard - Snow Leopard, Core 2 Duo, 144mb VRAM Intel GMX, 2GB RAM 667mhz
Born 2008 - Died 2014
The ultra-light Laptop, amazed me, not heavy and cool laptop, pampapogi! Wahahahaha, tumagal sya sakin ng 6 years!

4.
Macbook White Mid2010 - Core 2 Duo - Snow Leopard, 256 VRAM, 2GB Ram 1060mhz
Born 2010 - Present
Walang cool dito, wala na kaming laptop at desktop, sira na rin battery kaya hindi cool, pero matibay tlaga to

Started with 386 computers at our school lab. Used MS-DOS and Windows iteration until 1998 (when I graduated). Then nung magtrabaho na ako (1998 din), was exposed to Sparc with Solaris and x86 Linux. Until ngayon, different architectures like Sparc, Power iterations from IBM (AIX) and x86-64 and some Itanium.

Personal use, I use to have this Toshiba laptop with AMD processors, a hand me down one. Then got an iBook, an ASUS laptop, an acer netbook and some HPs (both desk/laptop). Used varying OSes personally, but the mainstays are Win 7 and Fedora. Got some VMs running RHEL and Oracle Linux.

Hopefully I can get a decommissioned blade machines from our client. So I can test more technologies.

1) Very first  PC spec is:

OS: Windows XP Pro
Proc: Intel Pentium 4 (No HT) 1.6ghz
RAM: 256MB RD RAM
HDD: 40GB IDE 5400RPM
GPU: Geforce MX200 64MB 64 bit
BORN: 2002
DIED: 2005

It was cool during that time when not all the people can afford a desktop that time.

2) 2nd one is a laptop:

OS: Windows Vista Home Premium
Proc: Intel core 2 Duo 1.8ghz
RAM: 2GB DDR2
HDD: 320GB
GPU: NVIDIA Geforce 8400M 256MB dedicated
BORN: 2008
DIED: 2009

The cool about this the same as my 1st one. This was a high end laptop during that time.

3) 3rd is a desktop:

OS: Windows 7 Ultimate
Proc: AMD Athlon X2 Black edition 7750
RAM: 2GB DDR2
HDD: 500GB 7200RPM SATA
GPU: NVIDIA Geforce 9800GT Green Edition
BORN: 2010
DIED: 2012

It's alright not too flashy the time because there are i7's already, i can say it's a moderate unit which i can still able to play 3D games at a good quality an plus used it mostly in recording music.
