I'm a fan. Not really into the really ethereal stuff tho, more on the indie rock/noise rock/borderline punk side of shoegaze. Swervedriver (by association), Lilys, MBV, Alison's Halo type stuff.

actually Im in Shanghai..and I only discovered about their music just a week after they played here! pucha sayang super!!!! ang lapit lang kaya ng club (Yuyintang-sort of a bastion of chinese underground rock in Shanghai..) na tinutugtugan nila sa bahay..ARGHHHHH!!! Tumugtog pala sila sa Pinas...actually I saw some clips sa You tube sa mga gigs nila..ok lang ...si Jens Lekman ba type nyo din? Actually malaki din ang mga indie scene diyan...di naman ako heavy indie rocker pero..I do llike this genre and everything about it...medyo yung mga folks dito medyo cool and mahilig sa art..hahaha..though a bit detached sa society..

Papas Fritas..The Pearl Fishers.Goldstone.may isang playlist ako na puro ganito bigay ng brother ng wife ko..hahah others mga pinasa sakin ng friends ko noong college pa...Ivy? ok din yung Kent...ewan ko kung indie yun pero..basta hindi mainstream!

The coining of the term "The Scene That Celebrates Itself" was in many ways the beginning of the end for the first wave of shoegazers. The bands became perceived by critics as over-privileged, self-indulgent and middle-class..

hahahaha hipster?....hahahaha

I was still in Davao when Jens Lekman played here so di ko rin siya napanood live. The Pearlfishers are amazing. Across the Milky Way was a great album. Ivy is immaculate rin. Amazing pop hooks on Apartment Life among others. Haha

Lately, I've been swooning over Astrobrite. I find it odd lang kasi at first, they didn't appeal to me. Eventually, past the lo-fi production, the songs grew on me. Pia Fraus is also a really good band. Always sends my heart spinning when I hear Outskirts of Me off of In Solarium or pretty much anything from their Nature Heart Software album.
