microsoft sucks!

claiming that vista is totally hack proof!

i remember they challeged the hackers to break the security of vista...maybe microsoft hurt the feelings of the hackers, and this is the result.

Wala pa, kasi wala pa masyadong applications na optimized sa Vista. If you're a developer, Vista is heaven sa Microsoft platform.

Sabi mo eh... "wala naman importanteng feature ang Vista"... Sabi ko lang, wala pa kasi nakaka-capitalize ng bagong features ng Vista kaya mukhang wala pa..

Is it worth the upgrade? If you're not planning on using Vista's new features, keep your existing OS. Kung developer ka, move to Vista. Kung power user ka, Vista is a great alternative. Dami na ko kakilalang naka Vista and satisfied sila kahit di naman nila nagagamit ng full-extent yung capabilities ng Vista.

Try .Net Framework 3.0. Business applications all the way. Unless of course, open source advocate ka. But then again... uhm.. ah.. wag na lang. Mahabang usapan ang MS vs. open source eh.

when windows XP was launched last 2001, a lot of PC enthusiasts, gamers, professionals, etc were very skeptical, saying that they would still want their windows 98 or 2000 OSes, that windows XP have higher system requirements. also, not all programs/software applications at that time cannot run in windows XP, and many more.

but as the years passed, almost all windows users embraced windows XP as the OS of choice. the same thing will happen to windows vista. software applications will be optimized for vista, as well as the hardware.

cheers!  8-)

Change is but inevitable in everything, including OS and pcs. However, for my specific use, I'm not yet embracing Vista for the mere fact that it does not work with my soundcards, has issues with DRM and multimedia content authoring, and places too many restrictions on what a user can do with his pc. Plus, the thing is too damn expensive.

For .Net developers lang ba? No. It's great for .Net developers because of the new .Net framework. But it is also great for other developers working on the Windows platform. Get the updates from Macromedia. I don't see why Macromedia won't release an update or patch. Everything that Microsoft will develop will anchor on Vista, Longhorn, and .Net. If at least 90% of the world's PC runs on Microsoft OS's, Macromedia will follow.

You should have waited a few months more before upgrading para lumabas muna yung mga upgrades.

Here's a list of all compatible products.

Here's another list for comparison.
