in general, its a big NO! but you have also to consider that all aspect counts. not only speed. 1 thing i noticed about to some begginers are craving for speed. it really amaze their eyes and suite their ears to hear very warm sweep and ascending arpeggio run. well, kanya kanyang trip lang yan. :lol:kung saan ka yo masaya, yun ang gawin nyo.
ahhh.. cege pa koya! agoy!

It is one of the measures for me but definitely not the only one. There are a lot of things to consider.

There's nothing wrong with playing fast as long as you do it cleanly and tastefully. Besides, it is a lot easier to play below your maximum speed than above it.

WAHAHAHA!! Nice!

Funny story na remind lang ako dun sa cut him some slacks...

A few years ago my parents were getting ready to go to Australia.

My dad went to SM and bought himself new pants (slacks) cguro mga 5 na piraso...

When he got home he asked our maid to go to the sastre and specifically told her to tell the sastre to cut the pants short. He even folded the pants to where he was supposed to cut them...

Before leaving my mom told the maid to make it short as the sastre had cut the last batch of pants too long

Our mabait na helper then got to the sastre and told him to "make it short"....

After a few days the maid got the pants from the sastre and to my dad's surprise he had 5 brand new very expensive short pants as in walking shorts...

Edi nagalit sha ang sagot ng maid namin "sir sabi kasi ni ma'am make it short eh"

speed is a tool...just one tool para ma-execute mo yung gusto mong ilabas na tunog...i personally have that frustration sometimes, may naisip akong magandang line but i can't play it kasi hindi kaya ng kamay ko...pero that doesn't mean na ang mabilis maggitara eh hindi best...kasi kung lahat ng magagandang tunog na naiisip nya ay kaya nyang gawin mabilis man yun o mabagal, eh di magaling nga sya... :-D

no..

my opinion.. dapat mgaling sa phrasing..
kahit naglalaro lng sa pentatonic scale, pero ang sarap pakinggan..
unlike other shedders, puro speed.. walang impact..

Music was never about finger acrobatics. Its all about soul.
Music is perpetual, and only the hearing is intermittent.

malaking factor ang speed sa pag determine ng magaling. but its not all bout speed syempre. pag metal tugtugan siguro speed and basis pero in general isang factor lang yan

Never say you can't. Say not yet.

There are a lot of lessons available all over the internet so there's really no reason why you can't learn how to.
