as long as you follow the configuration above, a basketball court is no sweat for a pair of 378.  just couple it with hornloaded subs like the w-bins or subscoops at least 2 per side.  8-)

Sir Ja, go for a 12" midrange instead of a 15".  If the speaker gets smaller in size say 10" or even an 8",  the more defined your midrange will be but its power handling may not be as high as a normal 12 incher.   :-) :-)

A 15" midrange speaker is ideal for the front monitors where you can add some instrument mixes with your vocal mix.   8-) 8-)

my friend forwarded me the matching subs for the mb378 tops.  it's an eaw dual18 hybrid subs.  they visited the store in pampanga last week.  8-)

they said that this dual18 eaw hybrids can match the awesome power of the 378 tops.  you can actually have a ratio of 1:1.  the imf hp18 were installed on the eaw hybrids.  they are really good sounding and loud sabi nila  8-)

Yeah heard this too during our visit.  It matches the force of the 378 tops.    They're using the 3600VZ amp as a standard to drive their subs.  :-o

Here are my replies to people who sent me their PMs regarding things they want to know during my visit at MB store:

1)  Yes, it's the IMF 18" that are loaded on the 379 subs and they sounded bigger than the Manifold subs.

2)  The guys in MB are NOT selling stand alone "boxes" anymore since I myself tried to persuade them kung pwede  :-D  Everything is matched with the drivers.

3)  It takes a month at least for the boxes to make since they have a long list of orders and they require a deposit initially.  The rains tend to slow the curing of the fiberglass daw.

4)  The MB 378 top is indeed the best sounding top (for me/us) based on what they demoed to me/us.  BUT, we are looking on another mid-top design with dual 10 mids.  I have to apologize since I can't remember the model but I'm sure I can have my friends email me the pics soon.  One thing that impresses us with this top is that it has a unique "phase plug" found on the mouths where the 10" are placed.  Again,  my friend can forward the pics to me and post ko na lang dito.  There's a special name for this.  I will just update you if my memory is running high haha.

5)  For the prices,  just text them since I'm not really good in remembering numbers  :-D

6)  Travel time from Balintawak point of entry to DAU exit is roughly 50mins.

compare nga sa tasso ts315 ?

Ako wala pako ng MB J-378 pero nasa akin pa yung DAS ST112 (orig box) na isang hornload na long-throw touring speaker ng DAS years back.  At masasabi ko (for the nth time) na we witnessed kung papano pinaiyak kami ng 378  .  Mas ok sana kung bring your Tasso 315 to Musicbox at i-compare nyo sa demo room nila.  Be a witness too  :-D  :-D

Dudes,  the only logical way for you to judge a speaker system like the 378s is to hear up close.  Check what are the drivers that are installed onto the cab, see closely the specs of the drivers, know how it is crossed (crossover points), the suggested matching amplifiers, etc.  If an audio store suddenly sells you something by showing off how good it reads on paper and without you seeing what's inside of it, DON'T BUY IT.  I've done my share of awful decision making when purchasing gears and it still haunts me up to this minute.  I have come up with a conclusion that China designs are such a big joke.  They come up with designs that CLAIM to be this and that. . . purely typical salesman's pitch.  Worst,  they live on imitating other sources and convince you it's just like the real thing.

Dont forget to read my tagline .....

How's this compared with the ultimate version?  I'm thinking of the dual 10 tops.  Sounds impressive for me.  I like the mids coming from a 10" midrange rather than from a 12". What's your matching amps and subs?

Does it have the same crossover points of 1.2Khz on the mid-high and 100Hz on the mid-lows when using these speakers?  The PAde72 is smaller than the PAde99 right?  I'm not sure if it can handle the down the mid frequency area.  The guys at MB mentioned about the HF delay too.  Did they mention this too?

Yes. PA DE72 is smaller that is why we settled for c12 300 mb to match that. We also set a 14-inch delay for the HF section. dbx driverack PA is such a monster.

i never imagined the c12 300 can go low to 100Hz,  kasi the c12 500s are really built for 'mid-low' apps.  the only mid-low 12" speaker that i tried and tested as the best for this category is the jbl 2206 model.  it has a relatively high qts of .32 while the c12 500 has a qts of .31.  both speakers have 4" aluminum voice coils.  on the other hand, the qts value of the c12 300 is just .27.  at any rate i guess the robust midrange horn design of the mb378 makes this possible for the c12 300 go this low.

just my two cents.  8-)
