Value of an autographed guitar?

Just wondering if may value ba ang gitarang naautograph ng mga pinoy na banda? i.e PnE/Urbandub/Etc. Lets say the guitar was bought at a market value of 30k and was autographed by a few bands. Will the price increase or decrease due to aesthetic reasons? Thanks

unless the guitar was signed off by a super significant celebrity, it will decrease in value.

Kung PNE o Udub, buhay pa sila eh. Di pa mahalaga value nyan kasi pwede pa naman magpa-autograph sa kanila. Attend lang ng gigs nila.

Pag biglaan siguro sila namatay, baka pwede pa. Baka lang.

And if in general naman yang sinasabi mo, pinirmahan ng sikat na musiko, na pinoy, medyo duda pa rin ako na tumaas value. Kasi ang masakit na katotohanan, hindi tayo todo supportado lahat ng mga kababayan naten. Mangilan-ngilan lang. Yung talagang may malasakit pa rin sa OPM.

i remember someone in singapore was selling an ibanez gio with a ridiculous price kasi ginamit daw yun ni joe satriani pang-practice backstage.

ganun din view ko, hindi sya tataas unless pumanaw yung artist na pipirma and i also agree with musicianurse na mahirap sa pinas kasi ilan lang ang sumusoporta sa local bands.

no real tangible reason for the price increase/decrease. Specifically about value increase, there really is no formula / common practice on how much an item increases in value based on autograph/signed items.
The value can only be determined by how much a person is willing to pay for such an item. and in the case of the above mentioned artists,
wala pa atang benchmark for the values they fetch. IMO, try selling it close to current bnew value.

mababa parin kung picture. kung ginamit ni Michael Jackson, tapos may video/picture of him using it on stage, baka tumaas.

Tingin nyo tataas value nyan more than it's original SRP?

The value of the guitar depends on the seller and the buyer.

The manufacturer sells this guitar for $100. The retailer sells it for $150.

The first owner can sell it however he wants. He can sell it for $200 stock if he can.

Kung signed yan, seller. has the right to sell it for whichever price . The buyer can simply either ignore or buy.

Bottom line, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

It's real simple:

To a fan of whoever autographed the guitar, the guitar will likely have increased in value.
To someone who isn't a fan but recognizes the autograph-giver as someone famous, the guitar may have also increased in value.
To someone who doesn't recognize (or detests) the autograph-giver, the guitar may appear to have been vandalized.


IOW...  ask yourself, how famous is the autograph-giver?
How large/devoted/wealthy is the fanbase?

There's not enough market (Demand) in the philippines to support an increase in the value of an autographed guitar.

i think sina Ely Buendia, Marcus Adoro, Juggs had items before that was traded/sold here and the price point was just the base value of the guitar.

hahaha kung pirma lang din ang habol natin, e pde din pla ibenta ung magazine dito na may prima ng kahit sinong artist db? Signatures may fade eventually. ink lang yon na nilagay sa instrument. it doesn't make the guitar sound better or make the bearer more skillful.

still, gusto ko magpapirma ng gitara kay sir John Dinopol. Sir, kung nababasa mo man to, papirma please

some limited run signature series guitars that are personally signed by artist to whom the guitar was based/designed after and  comes with Certificate of Authenticity demand higher premiums in the market (i.e. Gibson Historic Collection Jimmy Page no.1 and no.2  Les Paul wherein only 50 pcs respectively were signed and played by the man himself and comes with COAs). These are catered for guitar collectors and enthusiasts. Another good example is the Gibson Historic Collection Ace Frehley Signature1959 Les Paul, only a few pcs were personally signed and played by the KISS guitarist (with coa). These guitars have gone up in value several fold in the present market.
