Our Trip to the Zildjian Factory

Here are some pics from our trip to the Zildjian Factory in Norwell, Massachusetts. It was a 270 mile drive from our hotel in New Jersey. The trip took almost 5 hours, but it was all worth it! We even forgot to eat lunch because of all the excitement we had during the trip. The factory is now closed to the public, and only endorsers are the ones who can visit it. It was an unforgettable experience learning about the history of Zildjian Cymbals and how they are made. Jim McGathey, Artist Relations Manager of Zildjian East Coast USA gave us a personal tour of the whole factory, from the front gates to the innards of the factory itself in where our cymbals are made. Too bad, cameras are not allowed in some places. But nonetheless, we took pictures whenever we had the chance...

We went home with big childlike smiles on our faces...

So that is Sir Vic Mecado. Sorry, Im not very good about personalities in the industry. He is young, I was thinking, since I hear that he is very much well known, that he is in late 40's or early 50's..

Anyway, were you able to take home any cymbals? Can you post pictures of what you have brought out with you?

i thought the spiral was done by Sabian. I saw 1 from Ebay. Then there is also n Ozone like for the Zilds... i like its sound but too expensive for me, knowing Im just a hobbyist.

Congrats... dont forget bout the pics.. Have a safe trip back sir..

aw, ganyan pala ang orig na color ng 20" K custom ride gheh

kasi yung ganyan ko, parang ndi ko naisip na ganyan ang pinagmulan na kulay haha...

nakakainis, gusto ko sana pumunta dyan pag punta ko states kaso not open for the public...

actually got it for free... pero hati kami ni Vic sa $600 we had to pay the van we rented... sulit naman e....
