I have the breeds installed on both neck. What I can say is that these pick-ups are not meant for a HSH config as the neck is really bass'y and the bridge sounds too thin and a bit treble'y when combined with a middle single coil pup.

Yup, dimarzio neck pickups are somewhat too fat sounding at times, which is why I installed one of their brightest pickups at neck (humbucker from hell), try dimarzio paf pro at neck... ok din, nasa RG470 ko naman yun.

RG321: HfH, Breed
RG470: Paf pro, Tone Zone

Okay.

Can it do darker tones? The tones in the album are sweet but not just my preference when it comes to rhythm tones.

Kaya ba mag dark tones or the pups are really bright?

no problems for me regarding this. I tried my aging Metal Zone in conjunction with my Mesa Boogie Studio Caliber which is a dark sounding amp and it can do Dream Theater "Awake" rhythm tones.

Whose rhythm guitar tone are you aiming for bro?

finally, a thread for DiMarzio users!  :-D

tonezone user/lover here! what can I say? the tonezone definitely compliments the rg320's basswood body. after hitting the "spot" with the pickup height, ang hirap ng bitawan ng ibby ko. it's so responsive na pati mga sabit at sablay ko, naririnig na.  :-D

Mine. Haha.

I actually want something na may good amount of bass with good mids in a darker sound setting. I'm quite satisfied with the D-Sonic - I'm just interested in the Crunch Lab. I was impressed with the Liquifire and its response. Ang swabe.

i see, regarding sa Crunch Lab 7?

agree ako sir, LiquiFire 7 is da bomb :)

I told ya the neck would sound better sa bridge cause it would add more bass and mids.

Oh, maybe you got to fiddle with the pickup height. It helps a lot. Take some time tweaking the height.

tsamba rin bro na nag match sa setup ko ang Crunchlab7, how i wish we can test pickups at music stores and return it if it doesn't match our needs. Liquifire really sounds good I have to agree.

Does somebody here have those DiMarzio area pickups installed on their strats? I have Gold Lace Sensors as stocks on my Stratplus. For now Lace Sensors are still ok for me.

Yeah. I think it'd do good with my set-up too. I'm using a Boogie too.:)

Yeah! Hopefully magiging okay din sa Triple Wreck...

As fro the D-Sonic 7, I love it so much! What I like about the D-Sonic in general is that it has a very lively mid-range that makes the sound "alive" - this is something I never found in the Steve's Special or the Blaze. It also has good bass too to make it darker which I like...

I'll see about the Crunch Lab. I'll be getting the 6-string version next week.

This is what is convincing me to get the CL.

same for my taste. just gotta be careful not to go muddy.
what's your tone wood for those particular Dimarzios?
