Possible ba maging mods ang isang member?
Well, for one thing, you got to show that you have particular in-depth knowledge of a particular board in the forums, and that you have been actively participating in discussions that highlight that knowledge. Btw, it's very easy for us to detect copy-and-paste answers as the regulars in a particular board will flag you down if you do so.
Knowledge is one thing, attitude is another. What point is there in being knowledgeable if you're a complete douchebag about it. That definitely will disqualify you for mod position. The ability to share knowledge and participate actively in the forums, without riling up feathers is paramount. Then again, you have to show that you can be level headed in the event that someone does try to test your patience and believe me, some will try it.
There's also the added responsibility of keeping your assigned board sensible, free from clutter, and enjoyable. Yes, a mod can lock particular threads; even delete inappropriate responses, but this is with due deliberation on his part.
All that and doing it just for the love of keeping PM a pleasant place to be in, without any thought of compensation, is what constitutes being a mod here in Philmusic.
And one last thing... being a mod does not mean you can ban someone outright. That job falls with the global mods and admins.
