Hehe Was just hard selling my SD set.  :-D

Your SE's pickguard really makes it unique! Makes me always take a second look. Di pwedeng nakawin, easily identifiable with it.

Nyahahahaha!! Thank you. Kudos to mike's team for the pickguard.

Just got a SE. The pickups are pretty good but I find them a bit dark sounding.

its made in the USA as they claim, good necks but the top is flat, like a sg/strat-ish contour, when they first came out, visually they look like just half assed CNC work
but you plug it in, no difference when it comes to sound, sound great, play great and if thats what matters to you then all is good

those violin type carves dont add to the tone, really..

Observation on the PRS S2 Custom 24

I went to a local store here in NZ and saw the S2 Custom 24 (tobacco sunburst).
I can't think of it as an upgrade to an SE because it looks like an SE but with except for some added top contour and Paul's signature on the headstock.

If someone wants a USA made PRS with Paul's signature and is happy with a gig bag, the S2 will be awesome!

the only upgrade i can think of, from a construction standpoint is the neck, USA PRS will have glued frets and that is very big plus in neck performance, it basically removes all the voids in the fret slot therefore eliminating the potential for the frets to move and increasing string resonance

the rest is eye candy

Gosh...I just realized that I can actually buy 2 guitars and a good amp for the price of one PRS Custom 24.

I went back to our local guitar store and tested a custom 24 w/ pattern thin, grabe I won't let it go, ayaw ko na ibalik sa hanger!

For PRS owners here, is it really worth it?

worth can be only determined after you have played with it extensively..i have a CU22 an SC250, both are the only PRS's i have and i dont want to get another one as that will only confuse me on which one to pickup

if your confidence level in setting up guitars is low i suggest get a USA made one, because the SE's are good but  they need some work to get them to the same level of feel as the USA one's

Worth it para sa kin.... Kung Isa o dalawa lng gitara ko i will get a prs dahil sa versatility nila. Sarap din talaga ng feel sa prs. Lalo na newer models with the v12 finish.

IMO, the PRS trem (even those on the SEs) is better than other regular non-locking trems but it still would not give you the tuning stability of a double-locking system regardless of how well it is set-up.

As long as the trem arm is unthreaded and would fit the hole, pwede. If the arm is slightly loose (stress on slightly), you could tighten the trem arm screw beside the intonation screws to compensate.

Hope that helps.
