Mga bro may idea sana ako. parang drummers get together(on a regular basis) sa isang lugar tapos may drumset tapos mag papalitan o magtuturuan ng mga lessons, tips and exercices. Maganda kse pag actual yun palitan. Let's say may gusto ka i-share na lick tapos gagawin mo dun sa drums tapos pag may tanong yun peers mo about that particular lick, you can actually share that to your peers. Constructive and informative dapat. Marami rin kse ako gusto malaman at matutunan. No man is an island. Lahat tyo may kakayahan na may matutunan at mapulot sa isa't isa.

as for the video clips, im having trouble accessing youtube from my home connection to upload the vids. im using globe broadband, are u guys having the same problem? globe said its because of the taiwan earthquake, true? what a pest. anyway, i'll upload the vids asap.
sorry i arrived late, and yes i missed the nepa-q-mart sign so i found myself lurking around sm city buti na lang pao led me back to the right direction. i had a blast, twas great meeting you guys. hopefully next time more would turn up. im glad rin u guys liked the 19 hybrid, pero mukang i myself am not contented with the sound of the 20 a med thin crash, so looks like its headed for ebay and the quest for the ellusive perfect crash ride is still on for me. next time i'll bring others to share. so when in feb is the next one? thanks guys!

hey guys i absolutely had a great time hanging out with you fellas and meeting more friends along the way. i am greatly honoured to be a part of what was once a humble gathering of a few drumming minds and is now a progressing drumming social. i hope na tulou tuloy lang ito and that we could encourage more pros, new drummers and returning drummers to join in. basta keep the cammaraderie going. this is one hell of a drumming community that i am really pleased to be a part of. hopefully Pinoydrums founder Mr. Jim Ayson can drop by one day.
Pasecya na rin at kinapalan ko na muka ko and i played along to a few tracks that ive been jammin to lately. im an unschooled drummer kasi pero lately i've enrolled to JIHAD na rin and yesterday was fun havin you guys on the other side of the spectrum naman as the teachers! kumbaga sa car, talyer kayo na tagahanap and fix ng problem. thanks for your comments and suggestions as to how i may be able to improve my drumming. next time i promise to do better, grabe lang, once in a blue moon lang ako kabahan and yesterday was one of the darket blue moon feeling i had na talaga, cold sweats shaky hands wow the works! what a sensation! anyway, if someone wants to add comments or suggestions, please feel free to let me know as i am very open to criticims and will not take it against you, in fact i will even appreciate your honest insight.hay buhay, andito ako sa pangasinan, di talaga ako makakapunta. sana masaya yung nakapunta. and to peeves and bangbus at kung sino man ang masipag na mag-archive ng mga videos natin sa mga mini-eb's, pwedeng pahingi ng copy? i'll trade it with my episode 1 dvd for those who have.

oh that. ah yes i encouraged anthony to tackle some fundamental approaches to tuning so that newbies would be led towards the right direction early on (unlike me, who only learned how to tune properly after half a decade of tuning by ear and semi-bara bara drumming).

About the link above... I played a few Neil Peart/Rush licks during the mini-EB. I was playing the drum parts of Subdivisions (from the 1982 album Signals). Most parts of that song are in 7/4 time signature.

im having trouble converting the videos from the dvd cam para ma-upload to youtube so i'll save em in discs na lang tapos i'll give several copies to some organisers/participants sa upcoming mini-eb tapos kayo na bahala mag convert or duplicate and upload. na convert ko to avi kaso delayed yung sound, badtrip. hope u guys understand my predicament.

I apologize for arriving late (as usual). I had a gig the night before, kaya puyat as usual. I missed the first half of the mini-EB. Hindi ko nakita ang mga naunang nag-share na drummers.
Regarding me and JP's jerseys... It was purely coincidental. Di namin pinag-usapan yung mga Miami Heat jerseys namin. Kaya mukhang chuvaness tuloy haha! :-D But it was cool, anyway. We just happen to be NBA fans.

as always, drumsters drumming never fails to amaze me...i nominate anthony to be one of sabians finest endorsers (and probably first in the phils?)...push natin ito! si marco, ang galing lang talaga ng double pedal disguised single pedaling techniques/skills nya! idol! si JP, do i have to say more about my drum professor? keep those 'making drumming easier' cheat techniques coming bro. si bammbamm, galing talaga sumakit ulo ko after tryin your teachings out! peeves, mukang nagpa-foot spa ka pa before showcasing your heel-toe double pedal toy, astig yang device na yan and of course if theres anyone who could pull it off with a toy like that, shempre ikaw yun! galeng! sa lahat ng nag share maraming salamat, i've got a lot of 'baon' lessons to learn and keep me busy with while im away.

bro have u tried total video converter? yun gamit ko to convert from one format to another, usually ginagamit ko cya to convert yung mga vid ko pag nagppractice ako, mov to AVI(divx/xvid) capable din cya nga madaming convertion to dvd, vcd, mpeg(all sorts), avi(all sorts), swf, flv, even mp3 or rm... so try mo lang, mabilis din cya magconvert kaya ok... hope that helped

i know drummin is not about 'porma' or 'showmanship', (in this case ceteris paribus, kunwari you have the skills na and all to pull it off) but in the entertainment industy you gotta have some sort of packaging one way or the other to project a certain image u wana be remembered by. and like what anthony said: "...need to dress the part and project that kind of image."

I got GAS (it means Gear Acquisition Syndrome for those who don't know) My intention was to broaden the spectrum of sounds of my drumkit, but what I've learned last time was entirely.. Bare essentials. I dunno. I'm starting to have the thoughts that I'm not worth all these equipment, but then again, I'm young. I still can catch up. My philosophies and insights in music could easily adjust. (i lack pride lol.) Yeah. You guys are right. Music is a labor of love. Music should not be played with malice and selfish intentions. You don't play to flash, you don't play to impress, you don't play to compete, to intimidate, you play for the music. Wisdom. Wisdom is the best thing I can get from music. I'd rather have wisdom than techniques. With wisdom, I can use the techniques properly. But with techniques alone, I might end up being a monster. A monster, meaning that I may be technically proficient, but I can't earn the respect of others because I've turned into an egomaniac. Music is the essence. The understanding behind the listening. It is still a MAPEX fest and not the official Pinoydrums EB where all participants are members. Though this is the case I see no reason for you not to bring your pads and show it not just to Pinoydrums but to anyone who might be interested. This is just my suggestion but if you want to make sure of things contact black panther/jp :wink:

PinoyDrums is actually the name of our group and a lot of members do show up during EBs and Clinics. Some are with other members of the group during EBs and Clinics but they are all members of PinoyDrums. What I propose though is that during EBs or Clinics, we have our own area so everybody will meet each other. Its like our own station. Just a suggestion...

usually we divide the studio charge of 750 pesos to the no of attendees. 250/hr kasi. If you can brig gears, the better...pero kung wala oks lang...=) hope you could come bro. :-)
If my schedule permits, I will bring my Drum Dial so we can tune those who will be bringing their snare. Those who want their snare tuned can bring it to the EB. One snare per person only so we can accommodate everyone (please bring your drum keys). I wish I can accommodate tuning kits but I guess we won't have enough time for that. Maybe in another EB. :)

As much as I want to attend this EB, I am sad to inform you guys that I won't be able to make it. I just had my confirmation for my week's schedule and I do have an out of town shoot on the 17th. My offer remains though. I will bring my Drum Dial on the next EB and will do free tuning to all who will bring their snare/tom/kick. Please make it soon. In fact, if you can just move this one day before or after the original date would be great. I will definitely come if that happens. At any rate, good luck and have fun.

mga dudes eto idea lang inspired nung last EB
meet tayo sa isang rehearsal studio every month then sharing ng tips. dami kasing matutunan sa kapwa drummer at magandang bonding sessions to. optional yung drum jam kung may magdadala ng extra kit. pwede na siguro 2 hours per EB tapos split sa attendees yung bayad sa studio. tapos ang threshold para matuloy ang event e 4 persons (75 per head di ba magaan naman yun?)

Guys, nakausap ko si JP 2 or 3 weeks ago, agree daw sya sa mini-eb ulit.
Kelangan lang ng mga organizer, kahit dating gawi, chip-in na lang ulit and bring stuff kung may madadala....

Napagusapan po namin ng mga remaining pinoydrums members sa kabilang thread na dapat magpaEB ulit para makapagsharing and drum talks!
so here are the details:
Where: Bluelight Studio, Kamuning.
When: Kayo kelan kayo free? I suggest weekend tayo! June7? June 14?
How Much: Bluelight charges 180 per Hour, so mga 3 hours tayo dun. so PHP 540 divided by attendees!
Mainam kung may makapagdadala ng gear para matry ng lahat! so let's go guys! palist na kayo!
P.S. pwede ka rin magsama ng non-PM Friend. pero papatak parin siya sa hatian ng studio ha? :)
