ouch! baka desu ka? Boku wa Nihonggo no [gooey brown stuff] sukoshi Todai e benkyu [gooey brown stuff]...

i was impressed with their Nihonggo as well. The pronunciation was really on the spot; not gaijin (foreigner) sounding as many Americans tend to sound with foreign languages since American english is not phonetic like Japanese.

hehe oo nga actually mas magaling mag nihongo si marty kasi lam ko jap wife niya... pero di patalo si paul bagong kasal e. hahaha... pero alam ko kahit nung megadeth pa si friedman e nagpapainterview siya in japanese para ma practice daw niya.

hehe dami alam ni pg na licks... well versed tlga hehe.

oo hehehe... alam ko matagal na. nung parang malapit na umalis si marty sa megadeth parang na ospital ata siya eh... hehe sabi ni mustaine parang "he and his wife was saying he's gonna die... they're like [strawberry] john lennon and yoko ono" something like that hehe.

OT post: I agree with one point that most Americans really sound awkward when trying to speak another foreign language, particularly languages from Asia. However, all languages are inherently phonetic (even sign language, which has its own sets of phonemes / phonetic articulations), because the signs have to be articulated. I might have misread your post, but I would probably point out the cause of this awkwardness to the difference between the phonological systems of the languages you mentioned.

Hope you don't take this point of information as being confrontational (as most guys here would) from someone who makes a living out of language teaching. :)
