Buong pickguard ba yung meron nung foil? Or dun lang sa may pots?
For full effect, dapat yung buong cavity, plus the whole pickguard. :-)

sana lahat ng thread sa philmusic tungkol sa strat!  :-D
is there really anything else worth talking about?

i love everything about them! the vibe, the tone, and even the 60 cycle hum!

i even love the fact that some people view their 5 way switch as
1-bridge, 2-bridge & middle, 3-middle, 4-neck & middle, 5-neck
...and that some people view it the other way.

i love the bubbly neck pickup tone, quacky in-betweens, the neither-here-nor-there middle pickup tone, & even the sometimes icepicky bridge single coil tone!

i love how you can disassemble the guitar so you can put it in your handcarry when those airline people insist you check it in!

i love how you can change the pickup configuration just by simply changing the pickguard assembly! (depende sa routing, of course!)

i love how the countours are so comfy next to your body. parang second skin!

i love the strat's honesty. it let's you know whether you're playing well or not, just like a true friend should!

to borrow from ninoy... you can take a guitarist away from his strat, but you can never take the strat away from the guitarist!  :-)

You said it right.. one of the reasons why I love the vintage-style relic sunburst.. (though I only got a MIM standard which is a bit inferior when it comes to quality..) hinahayaan kong kusang matigbak yung paint ng strat ko.. the more it shows the wood.. the more it adds its sentimental value heheh

I have the SCN pickups ..stock pickups sa AmDeluxe ko. It sounds decent. But I know that it can sound more strat sounding with the right pickup. I'm still really thinking after my callaham upgrades what pickups I'm going to choose.

what kind of sound are you after?
if you don't mind me making suggestions, try either fralin vintage hots or a van zandt vintage plus set. absolutely gorgeous pickups! :-)

I agree. They're great pickups. The Suhr single coils (V60LP, V54 and Fletcher Landau) are awesome too. Lollars are a bit too bright for me.

I tried a tele with jumbo frets.. and when compared to the smaller frets on my strat, mas gusto ko yung jumbo frets. :-)

I'm not so sure. Do you really need that much gain? If not, a dirt pedal with less gain might help you out. Gumamit na ko dati ng MT2 with a strat dati.. pakiramdam ko out of control yung guitar.
