Hello guys. I just wondered kung bakit wala pang ganitong thread kaya I started it.
Help naman po sa problem ko.
Sa tingin ko kailangan na iformat yung pc ko pero tanong ko muna dito kung may paraan pa. Nadamage ata yung registry ng pc ko, hindi ako makapag games and nagkakaproblema na sa start-up. Tanong ko lang po kung anu po pwede gawin para hindi ko iformat to. May anti-virus program naman po ako but I think hindi po virus yung dahilan ng pagkasira ng registry. I think it is CCleaner mayat maya ko siya ginagamit lalo na pag nagdedelete ng files. Is there way to restore the registry? Thanks.

okey lang naman yung CCleaner, yung dinedelete niyang registry is yung mga wala ng silbi sa pc mo hehe.mas maganda ireformat mo na nga lang talaga pero iback up mo muna mga files mo...wala pa kasi ako nakikitang nagrerestore ng registry to default unless naibackup mo yung default settings nung unang salpak pa lang ng OS mo.

upgrade mo yung proc mo to 3ghz or higher and gawin mo 4gb yung ram.
and 650w PSU.

Magkano ba budget mo sir? Consider your PSU first then the other parts will follow. PSU mo kasi magdidictate kung hanggang saan lang ang kaya ng rig mo in terms of powering its hardwares..

It's ok for home/office use (ie Office Apps, Internet Browsing). Pero kung gusto mo sa mga 3D gaming, better go for at least an Intel i3 or i5 processor.

tama din si Ryn. It is also best for torrent pc's or yung mga PC na 24/7 na nakabukas for downloading. Kung for photoshops or video editing/rendering go for Intel i5 or i7 and with 4gb memory. Hope it help :D

it depends sa OS (operating system) kung XP yung sayo pede ka pa mag run ng repair install gamit ang installation cd. or kung vista or win7 naman pede ka ring mag start up repair. sa 3 OS pede ka mag chkdsk/r sa recovery console to try retrieve the bad registry. dapat kinuha mo din mga error messages kasi sometimes pede ka mag download ng specific registr entries tapos double click mo lang mababalik na yung missing registry. although madali pag mag reformat na lang kaya lang mag iinstall ka na naman lahat ng games and before you reformat the PC kelangan mag back up ka pa. masyadong time consuming in my part. ako kasi i'll try to fix it as long as i can before resulting to reformat. ok lang naman mag try kasi ng fixes kasi you can always do reformat. just my 2 cents. peace

Paano ba malalaman kung sira yung ram ng desktop ko? Bigla kasing nagrerestart yung P4 kong desktop feeling ko sira yung ram e. Kakareformat ko lang nito. kapag nag-iinternet na, mga 10-20min ng gamit biglang nagrerestart.

Re-seat video card saka memory. Pag ayaw parin, try clearing your BIOS. Pag ayaw parin...

Guys ask ko lang may sira yung pc ng friend ko. Nagpopower on naman siya pero wala namang display parang nakapatay parin yung monitor tapos yung ilaw sa harap ng pc nagbiblink lang. Natest ko yung Generic psu pero OK naman siya. Di ko pa natest yung video card and memory. Pero the thing is pag may nagagalaw (let say naglagay ka ng spare HDD sa loob for some purposes) sa loob ng PC automatic hindi na siya magbubukas. Then minsan pag nagagalaw (i mean pag naaalog naman or nauusog) hindi na naman gumagana. Motherboard na kaya yung problem nito? Thanks sa tutulong.

hehe, I remember, HP dv series has problems with it's cooling. Don't remember where I read that tho.

a little help guys. i bought a second hand 27 inch imac today from a good friend. walang kasamang UPS. i'm just wondering kung pwedeng gumamit ng ups kahit hindi mac.pwede ba generic na ups lang.may di kasi kami ginanagamit na computer. salamat! :)
sabi naman ng iba pwede naman daw kahit derecho na lang isalpak sa outlet but still there's still the itch to get one(ups) dahil luma na ang apartment namin.

But I think its better to know kung ilang watts ang kakainin ng iMAC + other electronic devices na balak mo isaksak sa UPS, saka ka makakapag estimate ng UPS na kukunin mo. Parang hindi recommended pag mga nasa 600VA lang kukunin mo, para safe mga nasa 1300-1500VA. Antay ka lang ng ibang techies na mag comment baka may mas maganda silang suggestion :)

Alam ko puede malaman kahit papanu ung cause ng problem gamit ung BSOD code; yung 0x0000-blah blah. Post nio dito sir kahit ung code lang baka may makasagot.

try mo gamit sir ng utility tools. para ma remove yung unnecessary o junk files.meron din dun erase history, sa windows,plug ins,start menu, browsers at misc items.. tska clean mo yung system registry.after mo mag update at scan ng anti virus. check mo din sir sa msconfig baka masyado tumatakbo na di naman kailangan na programs sa start up at sa background. kumakain ng memory yun eh. at kung masipag ka mag defrag ka ng hard disk.

ok lang bro yung 128 bits kung di k naman talaga gamer. mahal ang 256 bit na VC. gawin mo na 4gig na ddr3 mura na lang naman basta hindi yun mga high end. dun sa plan mo sa dsl mabuti nga syo umaabot pa ng ganyan. ganyan din plan ko dati. pa upgrade ka na sa plan 1299. may libre pa wifi modem router all in one. 1mbs na. 3x yung speed kumpara sa plan mo. nasa 300 na lang dagdag mo eh :)

Ok naman yan sir..ginagamit yan sa mga shop kasi mura and compatible sa maraming parts..ang disadvantage ng mga board na to po is that limited ang upgrade na pwede mong gawin, kunyari in the future gusto mo mag dagdag ng isa pang HDD, sa ibang EMAXX dalawa alng ang sata port niya, kaya pag nag clone ka, limited ang galaw mo sa paisa isa lang...pero good motherboard yan para sa nag titipid po... :)

Controlpanel>administrativetools>event viewer

yes sir,minsan nag apear kasi to pag di na updated drivers and sa mga software patch.

sir i think may problema ka sa system file or possbile sa driver to"msrpc.sys" dito kasi yan nakikita C:\Windows\System32\drivers directory.
nag update ba kayo ng driver? install ng software? possible dahil dun.
try this on your command prompt
sfc /scannow - to scan all protected operating system files and repair as necessary.
chkdsk /f - fixes errors on the disk
chkdsk - /r - Locates bad sectors and recovers readable information
kung ayaw parin try nyo na lang mag system restore dun sa time na bago nangyari sa inyo yan.

@ lil.drummerboy: Actually nareformat na. Pero interesado pa rin ako sa naging problema ng laptop. Ang sabi sakin, yung memory card yung naging problema. So ayun, pinapalitan ko na rin para 4gb na. So far so good. Ngayon ko lang ulit to nagamit so may follow-up questions pa ako. Hope you guys can still help me out!

ok sir, I got it... this is not caused by faulty memory... as you mentioned it was upgraded from vista to windows 7, if nangyari po yun, some parts of system32 are retained...specially the kernel... I suggest that you do a fresh install... upgrades can only cause you too much trouble lalo na pag nag update ka...regarding about sa naging problem na tunay ng PC mo sir gunslinger, it is all about your drivers (NIC or video card ) most of the time po di compatible yung driver halimbawa nag install ka ng bagong Operating system tapos di mo inupgrade ang drivers mo...if ma observe mo po sir, pag nag install ka ng driver lalo na sa mga built in makikita mo po na tatanungin po tau ng installer if ano ang Operating system natin... therefore: it is better to reinstall your drivers bago pa mangyari ung blue screen or i fresh install mo ang Operating system mo then install your drivers again... - Yes. It says SD·MS/Pro·MMC·XD. So pwede XD card since may XD nakalagay right? Tried inserting an XD card last night, hindi nagreread. Kahit dati rin before formatting, hindi rin nagreread. I ended up using an external card reader.

you should not uninstall all of those...it is needed by the hardware to communicate with your Operating system...parang middleman yan sir..pag inuninstall mo yan, it will take time for your Operating system para mag communicate sa hardwares mo...therefore: let it be there...wlang mangyayari if tatangalin mo sila...mas babagal lang pc mo niyan...
2. How can I speed up the startup time?
sir gunslinger follow this steps to speed up your booting time:
go to >run > type mo mismo to na word without qoute "msconfig" pagkatype mo niyan punta ka sa tab ng "startup" iuncheck mo lahat sir maliban sa mga files na connected sa system32 or part ng windows lalo na yung mga updates...if pwede, iuncheck mo lahat ng updates....pagkatapos mo sir sa tab ng startup punta ka sa tab ng "services" diyan sir may makikita kang "hide all microsoft services" pagna check mo na yan sir, iuncheck mo na lahat ng matitira na may check sa tab ng services...lahat po ng makikita niyo...pagkatapos po, makita niyo ang "boot.ini" na tab, ilagay niyo lang po ang time out sa "5 seconds" kasi ang minimum niyan is 3 seconds ata...I forgot, pero I always use 5 seconds...

- regarding this one sir, I suggest that you do a little tweak...mahirap if dadaan ka pa sa registry, it would do more harm than good sa computer mo... I suggest you use a third party software such as : tweakUI or if may madadownload ka na Tuneup Utilities, andiyan na yun lahat....no need na icompromise ang registry...or you can try downloading startup screen...merong mga gawa na nun sa internet...ikiclick mo na lang din presto!! install na...meron ka nang startup screen... just a little warning: if naka starter ka na windows 7 I doubt it na mag work yan lahat... pero if naka professional ka or ultimate, that's it!!! go Sir Gunslinger, lets get it on!!! I hope it helps everyone...

Frankly, parang mas mabilis yung startup ko before - nung naka Windows7 Ultimate 32-bit ako na may naiwan na remnants ng Vista. Haha. And that had Rainmeter pa. Probably because of the TuneUp Utilities. Pero ngayon, I've no plans of installing Rainmeter na. Just change my startup screen and themes, okay na. I like to keep my desktop clean - with little to no icons at all aside from the taskbar icons.

Okay na yung startup screen ko. Naging problem? Yung file name. Nilagay ko backgroundDefault.jpg. Dapat pala, backgroundDefault lang since nakahide naman yung file format. (Tama ba yung file format?)

Useful to., basta good condition pa ung mga files.
Try mo mag right click ng isang folder na naging shortcut, then find target or location ata un, if im not mistaken, ang filename nya eh G:\virusgeneratedname.exe_[original folder name], delete mo lang ung .exe na name, then ok or apply. Mapapasok mo ung folder IF di pa binura ng virus ung mismong folder.

Kakaupgrade ko lang the other day ng PC ko from AMD Phenom II X2 to AMD Phenom II X4 processor. And from 4gb ram to 8gb ram. Tapos nagkabit pa ako ng harddisk cooler. Ok naman pero simula kahapon dalawang beses nangyari na pagboot ko biglang nagblue screen tapos sabi parang baka raw may hardware na hindi nakabit ng maayos or something about sa BIOS. Kaninang umaga naman nangyari uli. Pero pagkarestart ko nagiging ok naman uli. Ano kaya problema mga sir?

bro clean install of Windows just means you remove the previous Windows then you install a fresh one. if the system you are installing to doesn't have Windows, then it is already a clean install. if the system has one, just delete the partition with the Windows installation then install a new one, that's already a clean install. unfortunately one downside of this is that you will have to install all of your programs and drivers.
personally I do a clean install of Windows yearly since junk accumulates in the system. after a fresh install, the system will feel faster and more responsive.
regarding partitions, it is very important to have at least 2 partitions if you want to organize your system. I would at least suggest one partition dedicated to Windows, then install all your programs on this partition, then another partition for your data. place all your documents and pictures and movies and audio files here. when you format the Windows partition to make a clean install, the other partition is untouched. so your data files are safe. if you have Windows 7, I would suggest at least 40GB for that partition.
a partition is just a method of "fooling" your system that you have multiple drives within a single physical drive. the system treats a partition as a separate drive. this is useful for organizing your system. you can make separate partitions for the swap file, data, and however which way you want.

mas maganda meron parin seperate..isa para sa os , programs at is para sa personal data kahit may external ka. para madali mag restore or format. yung sukat sa size depende yan sa iinstal na programs or data na issave. ikaw na maka estimate nun sir.

yup you can delete the partition anytime. you can also resize or make partitions at will during Windows installation bro :)
I would still suggest a partition on your hard drive just in case something bad happens. at least when you have to reinstall Windows, your other partition, and all the data in it would be safe. you never know...
40GB would be my minimum Windows 7 partition file. more wouldn't hurt, but it would lessen space for the other partitions.

So I've created a backup on my external hard drive. Dunno if I did it correctly, but I think I did. Anyway, if I were to restore my pc to my backed up image file (I just backed up the image file of the OS, no files), will I just click System Restore / Restore your computer to an earlier time?
Edit: Experience is the best teacher so I tried it for myself. Post ko na rin baka makatulong sa iba. So after you restore your computer to an earlier time, mareretain mo lahat ng programs mo before the creation of restore point. Plus, you will also retain all the files on your hard drive even after the restore point - which is a good thing, I think.
Although I was expecting na pati files mawawala. Since you are restoring your computer to an earlier point of time, sabihin natin wala pa yung mga files na yun after creating a restore point, supposedly when you do revert back to an earlier time, wala dapat yung files. Eh gumawa ka ng restore point, wala pa yung files eh. So dapat ganun. YMMV. Sana may makapag chime in din.

do you have another PC or laptop? just remove the PC hard drive bro, buy an USB internal hard drive dock (CDR-King sells one) and hook this to your laptop or working PC. the laptop or PC will detect your internal hard drive as a new drive. now hook the external drive and just transfer the files from the old drive to the new one :)

Guys I need help regarding my father's laptop. Ito situation:
Laptop condition:
-Laptop is Dell.
-When the problem happened, the current OS is an orig Windows 7 starter
-The original dvd of the OS is currently in our home in the province.
-When I turn it on, it says "Boot Manager is missing."
-For a few minutes, the laptop would automatically turn off even if I've done nothing or even if I try to enter the "setup" screen where you can see details/settings about the computer even before startup. Pero wala akong ginalaw sa settings.
-A friend of mine who knows about computers more than I do said that maybe it turned off because of heat and needs fan replacement.
Actions taken:
-I decided I'll just buy a pirated copy of windows 7 just to repair startup and to overcome the "boot mgr is missing" problem.
-When I used the pirated dvd, it says that it cannot repair startup, so I decided I would just install the OS. Thankfully the installation was completed.
-Then, it suddenly turned off. I kept turning it on but everytime I do, it automatically turned off again.
-I decided to let it "cool" and just leave it alone for a couple of hours. After that, I turned it on and I can log on and use it perfectly for maybe 15-20mins or so. After 15-20mins, it's back to automatically turning off again.
Questions:
-Any suggestions sirs?
-Saan ba ang Dell Service Center dito? I'm willing to pay since wala na itong warranty.
-Or, saan ba ang mapagkakatiwalaang service center or repair shop? preferrably sa megamall cyberzone para malapit.
Notes:
-Please note na balak ko rin naman ibalik yung dating license na genuine Windows 7 starter pag napadala na sakin yung dvd or nakauwi ako sa province sa upcoming holidays.

i think the crashing has nothing to do with your OS being pirated. yes very likely overheating nga ang cause nito gaya ng sabi ng kaibigan mo. try mo buksan mo lang yang laptop without running anything then run this software which you can download from here: http://www.cpuid.com/downloads/hwmonitor/1.23.zip just click the "download now" button, then unzip it and choose 32 or 64 bit version accordingly depending sa OS mo. tignan mo kung ano temperature.

now open your browser and play any facebook game or any flash based games on friv or similar sites and watch your laptop's temperature rise. if it isn't a broken fan malamang kelangan ng linisin yung heatsink saka yung air filter. or baka need ng i reseat nung heatsink gamit ang better thermal paste, alam na yan ng technician mo. post back your results

boot ka ng safe mode kung same padn malamang hardware issues.

Windows 7 problem. Everytime na nagcliclick ako ng folder, nagproprompt ng Delete -- "Are you sure you want to move this folder to Recycle Bin?" tapos kahit iclick ko ang No bumabalik din ang message. nagreinstall na ako pero ganun pa rin. ano kaya problema at paano itrouble shoot?

di ko parin maayos yung laptop..ngayon naman di na ko makapasok sa bios...board na kaya problema?

I have this kind of problem sa Toshiba laptop ng misis ko. Tinanggal ko yung connection ng trackpad papuntang board. okay na uilit sya. Kelangan mo lang ng mouse. :-D

dude, try to remove your RAM, then boot your pc tpos saka mo try pumunta ulit sa BIOS. Pag wala parin, you need to buy a new one.

Hello po. First time to post in this thread. Hope someone can help me. Tried Google already but to no avail.
Am having issues highlighting in MS Office on 1 computer. Dati kasi, after I choose a word and highlighting it, i could simply insert a space and continue on typing without having the new word/s (and space after the originally highlighted word) being highlighted. I believe this is the default setting as my other computers behave this way. Pero ngayon, whenever I choose a word and highlighting it, tuloy-tuloy pa din yung highlight sa space after the word and duon sa mga bago ko na tina type. My only work around is to type the new word before highlighting what only needs to be highlighted. :-(
I probably clicked on something I shouldn't have at one point before the issue appeared but I just can't figure out what it was.
Any ideas or, hopefully, a resolution?
