In my opinion lang, since I got to own and use and try boutique dirt pedals, sobrang pangit na ng tunog ng mass produced dirt pedals.
I'd just like to add that the MI Audio Crunchbox, through sir Micsis, is 6.5k only. That's just a little more expensive than a Metalzone. And for me, the Crunchbox is a keeper. Moreso, the CGI Electronics BSIAB2 and its variations are what, 3-4k lang rin and is a close second to the Crunchbox. {again, IMO lang...and I'm a Marshall kind of guy}
If you ask me, ipon ka lang ng konti pa, don't settle for Boss anymore, at may keeper dirt boxes ka na. Take advantage of our co-forumites who are providing great services and great products.
