Soul Brothers was formed as an evolution of Jay Dilan’s personal project "nailworms". It was in January when Bimbo Baliguat called Jay to put up a band again, Jay start to contact his former bandmates to join the band, and it was the start of the formation of Soul Brothers. It was a Valentine Concert in Talisay City, Cebu where they first play as a band followed by several gigs at Talisay and Lapu-Lapu City. They decided to play in Cebu City when they enterred Rockmo’to Band Competition @ Club Vudu. Soul Brothers was known to create a unique sound that fused different kind of genre into their own sound which was influenced by Reggae, Punk, Funk, Metal and Hip-Hop they braved their way into a different touch of Music. Most of the lyrics of their songs were inspired by their daily ventures in life. They are the band who wanted brotherhood as their own inspiration in music. Recently they passed 2 songs at NU107 in the raw and luckily it was played over the station.  For those who missed NU107 in the raw last Jan. 13, 2006 here's francis brew comment about the songs of Soul Brothers "Virtuality" and "Me and My Brain"
