Rivermaya is not disbanded, umalis lang po si Rico Blanco for personal reasons. Ngayon designer na siya ng isang brand ng damit (Human) at, ayon sa isang litol berd, isa na daw electronica artist...

please correct me if i'm wrong.

He's always had that little electronica sideline in the wings. I think I even have one of his early stuff in my MP3's.

We all heard and read both sides of the story (atleast versions from Rivermaya and Blanco), and with the launching of new single, its definite that rivermaya will still be a band.

it will never be the same, but if this change is bad for the band?... time will tell..

in the meantime, Rivermaya launched a new single so lets support the guys. and also Blanco to whatever path he chose to take.

not necessarily, at least not in the traditional sense.

most post-rock bands (e.g. mogwai, explosions in the sky) don't have vocalists, yet they're still considered "bands".

besides, all remaining maya members can sing, so either one of them could be the vocalist... at least til they get a permanent replacement.

hate is just another form of love in reverse.....being left out.....i think Rico had made a good creative use of his vocal abilities so is Bamboo....
im waiting for rivermaya to do continue kunti na lang ang bands ngayon at this time na nakakapagbigay ng kilabot sa kayumanggi kong balat......
all are typical ....even so called emo is just ....well dont need to....for the kids
rivermaya should continue as i am so tired of hearing new bands doing covers even on the first or second album ....
ely and bamboo and onl and their akin peers should stay on the scene...this guys do provide some hope......for OPM.
