pangalawa, both suck. spongecola has something, pero they have a lot of "creative maturing" before they actually get "it".

MYX supports indie and underground bands thru bandarito. at the very, very least. kahit paano, you see underground and indie videos. heck, my old band's video got airplay long ago. and we were obscurer than obscure.

MTV ang mas deserving ng "corporate" tag dahil tuta sila ng foreign record companies.

yeah. but that really really small portion could've gone a lot bigger if they give the right jobs to the right people. especially with creative directors and stuff

A little OT story, but very much relevant.

A few years ago, Bandai, the makers of Gundam cartoons and toys, decided to finally go full swing into America. To that end, they set up a forum. Now, what they saw was that people were, at that forum, dissing them, dissing their "getting the market wrong", dissing their "wrong marketing strategies".

So they pulled Gundam out of the market. and stopped marketing to the US for quite some time.

And well, many of the same forum people who were doing the dissing were wondering "why did they pull out?"

Well, some insiders gave "unofficial comments", basically saying that the most disheartening thing is trying to make something more accessible to fans, and seeing the fans themselves dump crap on them for doing so. In the end, rather than risk negative publicity, they just pulled out.

Something to think about. Mileage may vary.

Spongecola is a band with something to offer but is corrupted by its adherence to the "pa-cute" image strategy to sell music.

Callalilly is something like a band that sells looks not music. C'mon guys lets face it, walang sipa ang mga songs nila, and please don't compare them to my childhood heroes-The Eraserheads, even the stupid fillers of Punk Zappa will stand out like masterpieces...
