iba pala ung trussrod nila noh tinignan ko kasi kagabi un akin hehe saka

kailangan ko siya ipaset up medyo me gap between the fret and string eh  :-D

saw this guitar bro, dami nga aayusin... one thing na alarming is yung bridge, sagad na sa body, di mo na pwede ibaba, which means di mo na rin pwede ibaba yung string height...

pa share po. eto po mga pics.

jan kita yung old tuners, i tried to search for models na katulad parang wala akong nakitang ganyan. it say Custom on the truss rod cover.

i changed the 1) knobs, 2) tuners and 3) bridge and stop tailpiece. pero dahil slim post sya, di ko na inalis yung dating post kasi yung nabili ko yung stubby studs; tamad na ko magdrill kaya yung bridge na lang ginamit ko - pinasakan ko na lang ng ink cartridge ng Pilot G-tech 0.5 na may balot ng tape para di umusod hehe. as seen in the pic i'm using the old gold faded thumb screws.

im planning to change the pots too to 1M para jangly hehe. and 3way switch. 2-way switching lang kasi to eh. needs refretting na din. i've installed strap locks din para no more fears na mahulog.

eto pics:

setneck. the previous owner probably drilled a strap button kaya may butas dun sa neck joint.

new tuners

new tailpiece, old thumb screw

wow, that killer aged binding.

mejo weird yung description sa Net about this guitar, kasi yung mga LP custom na built 1977 e 3pups, eto dalawa lang. magkaiba din yung pups: isa covered, isa hindi. Custom nga siguro kaya ganun.

Customs are EGC not EG. Try mo ipost sa tokaiforum.com under greco yung pics isama mo yung ilalim ng pups at routing then ask for advice on the model.

whats the difference between chambered and pancake? :-D i know chambered is lighter and all but not too sure about pancakes? :-D

i agree with y'all that you need to test the guitar first, i too learned it the hard way, i bought and sold majority of my guitars for the reliable ones. hirap din ng gnun ang gastos eh hehehe

russel, alam ko lang na pancake yung masarap pag linalagyan ng syrup and butter.  :-D

Here's my 1978 Greco Speedway. This one is the 24 fret version with pickup coil taps. Very versatile guitar with quite a few different pickup combinations. Its neck thru design also makes this the longest sustaining guitar in my collection.

ang kinis pa ah. yes it's probably pre 75 coz of the gneco-like greco.

what to look for:
1. set neck and all stock, if possible

wish list:
1. an eg700 or higher (kadalasan eg500)
2. solid body although yung iba mas gusto chambered para mas magaang
3. late 70s is good early 80s is best

what not to get:
1. repainted

ano budget mo? post mo dito yung ad ng gusto mo check namin :)

may mga pinag pipilian po ako pero i dont know which to get.
ito po yung kay freedomtom po.
http://talk.philmusic.com/board/index.php/topic,114724.0.html
havent contacted him yet but kakilala niyo naman po siya eh. all stock po ba yung greco niya dyan..? yung 1981.
then ito po yung isa.
http://talk.philmusic.com/board/index.php/topic,124375.0.html
yung dalawang tuning keys daw eh pinalitan na. so definitely not all stock :)

between the two better choice ang super power kung hindi ka concerned sa chambered body.

chaka tanong lang po kung may difference po ba sa tunog ang solid tapos yung chambered po.  :-)

budget: not exceeding 20k pero kung mag exceed man, hingi kay mama  :-D

pag chambered may acoustic properties ang sound nya. if you don't know the difference then i guess it doesn't matter :)
