Sir pmack how was the sound of the jealous snare? okay ba yung wood hoops? anung tatak nyan at san bkakabili? i want a wood hoop snare kasi eh...

hi bro nathan_rocks!

PDP SC Snare. 5  1/2" all maple with maple woodhoops. ok yung sound niya. mas warmer because of the woodhoops. ok naman kahit nagri-rimshot ako maganda yung sound. and this snare is LOUD. siguro depende na rin sa pagpalo. and yung woodhoops ko medyo nagchichip niya due to the wear and tear of regular use.

inuwi ko lang 'to from abroad. though di ko maalala kung meron na sa mga lyric music stores since they now sell DW and PDP drums.

230 dollars yan sa guitar center, so far yan ang pinaka murang wood hoop'ed snare na nakita ko...mukhang ok ang tunog ah! wala sila nung ganyang snare dun sa pinupuntahan ko eh kaya di ako makatest..hmmm  :evil:

di ko masabi sir.. depende pa rin sa preference kasi eh... classic din kasi tube lugs... sabi nga sa ibang sites..."you can't go wrong with tube lugs"... :-D

Ang ganda noh? mura lang yan 14x6.5 beaded steel and still made in ENGLAND astig... still brand new parin. even though na luma na yung model... but still ganda ng tone... you can check it out personally at audiophile paco main...

That's a nice Premier metal snare drum, and in pristine condition!  As far as I know, that's the stock metal snare drum of the older-model XPK drumkits.  Or is this a higher model?  The drum pictured seems to have 10 lugs.  Correct me if I'm wrong.

That drum brings back memories of my years with the DLSU Pops Orchestra.  We have a red XPK kit in our bandroom, and it includes a stock metal snare drum which looks like the one in the photo.  Nice!  :-)

Share ko lang. Di ko pa masyado na-experiment pagtono pero IMO the best yung adjustable butt plate at dalawang available settings ng throw-off. Ganda rin sound ng rimshot at cross sticking.  :lol:

got my jj snare kahapon lang sa jb megamall.. malungkot lang kase walang kasamang drum key saka yung iba pang included sa box..box lang saka snare mismo :(

pero salamat po sa pagto-tono..ganda ng tunog..kabingi..
