I have both the Elims and DD. After tweaking both pedals, it feels the same  :-D

Aesthetics, go for DD.

OT;
:evil:
This is my very first High-end model of Single Pedal. Pearl P-3000D Eliminator Demon Drive :evil:

Topic;

:-) Kung sakali man sana pwede.

TOM MOUNTS
« Reply #590 on: January 06, 2011, 08:17:05 AM »
I have read an article regarding Pearl I.S.S mounts.

They said that it is easy to use and to put in the toms but you are going to sacrifice a lot of aspect regarding on your hoops and sound.

1. Pearl I.S.S mount chokes the hoops so in a way it prevents the resonance of the sound of the tom and gives irregular sustains.
2. For a while using the Pearl I.S.S mount, you will notice that the hoops will start to bend.( I checked on the net and other forums, and it is true. A lot of drummers really are experiencing this problem from using Pearl I.S.S mount.)
3. Bending of the hoops gives a lot of deductions on the quality of the sound produced because it gives unequal displacement of holding the drumhead.
4. Pearl I.S.S mount is placed between the 2-lugs so it gives the pressure and the weight only in those lugs. Meaning it could have a possibility that someday it could easily give way. Not to mention, some forums say that is can cause cracks on the shells.

I am not disrespecting other drummers who uses this Pearl I.S.S mount, I'm just another drummer who is searching for what is better for my kit. Peace. :-D

Anyone can give other reviews for other toms? coz im planning to convert my mounts to even better ones? Maybe Tama, Gretsch or whatever as long as it doesn't entails to make a hole on the shell.

optimounts is the best way to go IMO! pangit talaga ISS, hindi balanced ang weight distribution pagdating sa mounting kaya tendency hindi pantay yung tension sa head.

Yes sir... Thats what i have in mind.

+1000

pinakashortcut na yun and sulit  :-)

About sa topic, Nakuha mo sir! antagal ko na din gusto mag react about sa pag kagat ng iss sa hoops and pag lagay ng overall pressure sa hoops unevenly , kaso natatakot akong madaming bumatikos sa pag react ko  :wink:

BTW i think pinaka simple na gawin is i-mount sa snare stand yung toms, kaso IMO nakakabawas din ng resonance yun , kasi kahit papano nakalapag padin sya,..

any more opinions about sa snare stand as Tom mount?

"If you have a drum set where you have toms mounted on the bass drum, you've got to remove those "puppies..."
Elib talaga ako sa separate mounted toms...
(I mean di mounted yung mga toms sa bass drums...)

Welcome master.

Keep on coming guys.

Simplified" optimounts yung gamit niya...

Finally, an E-Drum worthy to replace my V-Drums. Best of both worlds. Puwede as acoustic and definitely electric.
