hahaha I just got one, for the fun of it...I think its snake oil..parang yung O port..kung meron man minute lang siguro...150 usd worth... your thoughts?
-
kung totoo man ito at gumagana...i don't think this will work with High Pressure Laminate (HPL) top guitars like some of the new low end Martins. Ayon sa nabasa ko...normally solid top acoustics will sound better as they age but HPL tops won't. :)

Looks like snake oil to me. If you bought something to help improve your guitar tone, there's no measurable way to check if it did in fact sound better without observation bias. The only way I can say that it does work would be a double blind test (the guitar player should not know if the tonerite was used and then record the playing, then play that recording to people without them knowing if the tonerite was used). Kung may pera lang ako, I'd like to try it out.
Isa pa, IMHO yung claims nila about an instrument sounding better the more it's played is bogus. Playing daily will make you a better player. Not make your instrument magically better.

Im all for snake oil din...no matter how much I read comments, or videos..meh.. kung yung Planet waves O-port nga..haha wala naman ding effect... marketing lang talaga..and parang pleasurable sa mga GASerola sa mga acoustic heads..(parang audio geeks) ang mamili ng mga accessories..haha.. haha "waking up" "wood molecule crystalization mumbo jumbo"..haha

Gandy,
How long have you had it? How long have you used it on your acoustic? What's your acoustic guitar rin pala?

first thing to note... have you read what is it and what it is supposed to do? this is in a way, almost the same principle as a fast way of breaking in a new speaker (few hundred hours of use before it can efficiently deliver the range of frequencies).
it may depend on the guitar's wood, then again, it may or may not work.

same question

In fairness naman sa O port, it did help my acoustic with feedback. Nawala siya after kong ilagay. Yung tone nga lang, didn’t hear the difference.

Not being bias with the O-port(because I use one), it didn't really changed when it comes to the tone of the guitar, wala as in, though it helped especially with loud venues and the guitar feels different or at least medyo ramdam kong iba yung takbo ng sound waves sa loob ng body ng guitar, again, no tonal difference at all, hintayin natin si gandy sa update nya
