Guitar and Pickguard Color Suggestions and Discussions

Hello Guys,

I tried searching for existing threads that cover suggestions for Guitar Paints and Color combinations, but it seems there are no existing threads so I made one


so, this thread is for guys who need suggestions for a guitar paint job. You see, I'm looking at having one of my guitars repainted by Micsis but due to some constraints, my preference will most probably not be possible (basswood body, I wanted a 2tb sunburst, might not be possible </3)

so, to start, I need some suggestions for my upcoming paint job. I'm not great with colors, so a lot of you guys might be able to help me with it.


Guitar details:

Guitar: Stratocaster
Hardware: Chrome
Current Color: Olympic White
Current Pickguard: Aged White
Current PU Covers and Knobs: Aged White
Neck: Rosewood

Any ideas for my repainting will be really appreciated!

Ok din naman ang 2 tone sa basswood. Di nga lang kasing ganda ang grain. Hanapin ko pic ng 2-tone basswood ko dati. You decide.

Kung ako i'd keep the olympic white body, tas palitan ng mint 3-ply yung pickguard, white pickup covers n knobs.

ah ok, ang naiisip ko kasi yung white na sig ni JM. ang ganda talaga eh

Whoa ang ganda nga. 
Di kasi malaman kung defined ba yung grain nyan hangat di alisin yung paint. Checkout basswood grain sa google images. Di nga sya ganoon ka defined medyo pino sya compared to alder or ash.

Checkout yung Gretsch dun sa likod nung fiesta red strat. Palitan mo ng gold hardware lahat yan baka maganda tignan. Mahilig kasi ako sa gold hardware.  Just a thought... Pati gold pickup covers na din!

gusto ko yung grey na strat ni JM.

Since malaki ang chance na hindi ganun kaganda ang grain, stain mo sya ng dark, walnut or mahogany depende sa warmth na gusto mo, satin poly, tapos cream or aged white pickguard and pup covers, tapos gold hardware.

maple stain, lacquer finish, black pickguard and pup covers, chrome/dark chrome knobs and hardware. or red tort pickguard, black pup covers, black speed knobs/top hat knobs.

trans black, matte or lacquer finish. white pickguard, black pup covers, dark chrome/black  knobs and hardware. or mirror/dark chrome pickguard, white pup covers, chrome/white knobs, chrome hardware.

trans burst/two tone burst based sa next two-tone color na buhok ni Ashley, white plastics and chrome hardware.

75% gray, black plastics, chrome hardware.

hot pink, aged white/cream plastics, chrome hardware

Toyota 86 orange/subaru BRZ blue, black pickguard and pup covers, chrome knobs and hardware

pa-drowingan mo ng graphics sa kilala mo na illustrator/artist, lacquer finish, cream plastics, chrome hardware

bleached wood, matte/satin finish, aged white plastics, gold knobs and hardware.
