kung lose weight lang, no need to go to the gym, cardio lang pwede na hehehe, jogging, jump rope, treadmill, stationary bike and the likes.

nahihirapan akong mag-pullups/chinups, can't do 2 reps. i'll try negative reps, baka sakaling mag-improve.

Dude, ayus na ayus yan.  Just keep workin' at it!  Let me tell you, nung nagsisimula pa lang ako, I can barely do 2!  Now I can do 10reps on my first set, no problem, thanks to negative reps.  Forget the lat pulldown!    :-D

bro panu un negative reps??
Kung chins, pa-buhat ka lang (workout partner or instructor) hanggang nasa "up" position ka ng movement.  Then try mo labanan yung pagbaba mo sa "down" position.  That's 1 negative rep.  Tapos pa-buhat ka uli papunta sa taas.

Oo nga pala, pwede rin footstool.  Talon ka na lang papunta sa "up", basta ang important ma-buildup mo yung negative reps (and consequently, lat strength) mo.  Pas malakas ka na dun, pansinin mo.... mas marami na magagawa mo chin-ups.   Pag hindi pa rin, palakas ka lang sa negatives.  :-)

Mahina nga daw yung lat pulldown. Ma-try nga yang negative chin-ups.  :-)

Pag nag-increase ba ng weight on some muscle group, ano ba effect nito on other muscle groups, like yung sa mga synnergists? Nag-increase kasi ako sa chest, pansin ko humina yung triceps ko. Better siguro kung ihawalay ko na ng araw yung triceps ko para  hindi agad mapagod while I'm doing chest.

pag nagbench ka kasi, compound exercise yun, kasama na ang triceps at shoulders.

kahapon chest day ko, ginawa kong negative exercise yung bench press, mas matindi tama sa kin, kanina naman arms, nag-negative ako sa preacher curl, ok din. pero hindi dapat lagi ginagawa ang negative/eccentric exercises, mas ok sya pang-shock ng muscles.

You're over-training. It's alright to work out as hard as you can but your body needs time to recover, especially if you're a natural body builder.

I believe you're more experienced in this field than I am. I'm sure you know that it is only during periods of rest that your body repairs (and upgrades) itself. Without rest, you're efforts become counter-productive and you end up weaker.

uy ok to ah, sana magkapera, pagkakataon ng mai-try magworkout sa golds.

I feel low on energy right now. I don't think my nutrition intake is enough or good at all.

nice! parehas tayo, except i have sat and sun as rest day, parang kasama na sa daily routine ko ang pagpunta sa gym.

after 14 months of "no alcohol", nakatikim uli ako ng beer kagabi, birthday kasi ng tropa. nasira tuloy panata ko hahahaha.

I rested today. I'm just venting out my low point feeling. I'm gonna hit the gym again tomorrow. Friday is another rest day, kasi its July 4th and we are going out.

I also took a one week vacation so I can focus on body building for a week. I'm on my 2nd week of the TNT diet. Its awesome so far.

I just read a book on work out routines and man, I learned some new tricks.

drinking would be ok as long as moderate lang, nabasa ko sa men's health na ok lang uminom kahit 1 bottle of beer, beneficial pa nga daw yun, siguro light na beer lang.

pero yung puyat, malabo, mahihirapan magrepair ang muscles mo pag kulang ka sa tulog.

natry ko na yung negative chin-ups. mas effective nga siya kesa sa lat pull downs. ramdam talaga effects sa lats.  :-D

nagkaroon din ako ng realization. equally important to work on lower muscles. syempre, me being a noob to working out, ang emphasis ng training ko puro upper body (chest, shoulders, lats) kasi yan yung unang nakikita ng tao. when i played basketball (yung competitive talaga, hindi papawis lang)  'takte ambigat ng pakiramdam, parang nangalahati yung agility ko pero in fairness, lumakas naman ako.

for almost 4 months of hitting the gym ni hindi yata ko nagconcentrate sa lower. now i'm paying the price. gotta seriously work on my lower from now on.  :-D

pahabol question: gusto ko mag-try ng protein supplement. tignan ko lang kung hiyang ako. ano ba difference nung amino na capsule-tablet dun sa whey protein  drinks na tinitimpla?   :-)

ang whey protein meron ng bcaa (branched chain amino acid), meaning meron na din syang amino, pag amino naman, amino lang talaga.

I tried working out again from a long hiatus. Sarap ng pakiramdam. Sinubukan ko yung treadmill tapos supersets na weights. Ayus, pero nahilo ako. hehehe...

chest day today, maxed my bench press ng 180 @ 5 reps (i'm doing 5x5 btw), di ganon kalaking improvement, pero para sa kin malaki na to, konting tiyaga pa, siguro mga 280 kuntento na ko hehehe.

hahaha 100lbs x 22 reps? pamatay ang workout mo bro, di ko kakayanin yan, siguro bigyan mo ko ng 3-5 years pa. malamang nasa 300+ ang 1RM mo no?

kelangan ko i-exercise yung rotator cuffs ko, pag sobrang bigat parang nagi-snap.
