while the iphone4 may be great and all, i dont believe in the hype anymore. hahaha malamang next version nun, maayos na antenna niya (marketing strategy kuno).

@ charmonium
Ayaw mainstall nung kies? Yung sakin kasi thru kies ako nakakapagtether. Kaso galaxy phone yung akin. Pero anong version ang ginamit mo? Yung US version di daw talaga gagana eh.

corrupted siguro yung files.

Install Samsung kies too, but I really doubt these solutions kasi nasa phone ang problema kapag hindi nag nnotify na nakaconnect sa computer.

My wife got an SE Xperia X8 for her plan retention (Smart). And now I found out na wala palang Gingerbread official update dito. Sucks!

the processor on Optimus One and Xperia x8 is ARMv6. The official Flash packages (from Adobe) are only for ARMv7+. But there are other unofficial builds, I dunno if they are trust worthy.
My gripe with the Xperia X8 is that SE will not provide Gingerbread nor Froyo :( Oh well, we'll wait for the XDA guys to have dish out a 100% working ROM for X8.

Archos has been in the market for longest time. im sure if they ever came up with an android product, sulit yun.
yun nga lang, as ive read in review sites and other forums, medyo kuripot sila sa upgradeability ng mga android models nila. meaning youre stuck with honeycomb kung yun ang kasama nung product.

Sad to say but none at the moment. According to IK Multimedia,
"Not at the moment, as it is not possible. The Android OS cannot handle the low-latency audio requirements for an app like AmpliTube. We were waiting for the low-latency audio issues on the OS to be rectified and we'll see if the brand-new OS update actually fixes them - but yes we consider it a viable platform and watch it with interest.
The newest Android OS update was supposed to fix low-latency audio issues but unfortunately not enough progress was made in this area so we could not attempt to develop AmpliTube on the platform as it would not be of high enough quality that we require for our app at this time."

Ei guys, tanong ko lang if my hypothesis is correct.. I've seen some of my apps that say "collect anonymous data." Does that mean na they gain access to data network at times when my wifi is off? I recently received a bill from my service provider around 1.5k+ PHP kahit na saglit ko lang binuksan yung 3G network ko last month. Right now I had it disabled from my service provider and I'm still having doubts if they would still charge me because of those apps... *confused* :?

As long as naka off ang data network connection ok na yun. Another tip is go to "Accounts & synch settings" then uncheck background data.

Yup no need for an adaptor, built in ang usb port, it reads usb sticks, may mini sd card slot din for expansion... havent tried to directly connect a camera but i connct my 300gb external hard drive, and watch movies via micro hd port directly to the tv, so parang may hd media player ka na, full hd to.

the 800Mhz procy is really good. pero di ko pa rin ma-take yung low pixel density. i can live with the small screen, yes. but again, pixel density, the icons are too big. if you got small texts on the app youre using, para syang cleartype font.

Okay sana yung Alcatel Blaze Glory kaso walang front cam.
Tengs :)

most likely it's bricked.. try flashing ROM in download mode, wipe data and cache partition, and reboot.

Sa sobrang kuripot ko sa mga phones, I refuse to buy any smart phones. Until nakakuha na ako ng new phone from my sun cell line. Alcatel Glory. It is way better than iOS just like my friends tell me (I should know cause I have an iPAD and friends with iphone) kahit mga 2 days ko palang ako android user. Im still happy with it kahit entry level lang. Now Im trying to have a Root access for this cause they say having root access will transfer almost any application to SD card. Which a regular user doesnt have access for.
Question: Once I have a root access with android, will it become open line?

Yes bro galing play store lang.
Thanks for the link. Wow specific siya sa glory. But am currently downloading stuff for superoneclick first.
Bakit kaya di ka makapag viber? Ano lumalabas pag kaDL mo? Hindi kaya dahil nakaroot access ka? Medyo baguhan lang ako kaya di ako sure diyan. Try going back to regular user.

Sabi sakin ng viber "viber is incompatible with the system. continue anyway?" continue ko lang? :-D

Ang dami ko nang dndownload e. Mac user kasi ako. So kung ano ano na dnownload ko. Kelangan pa ng java, ng android developer (brings me back to school. tools to for programming), kelangan pa pala ng .net framework. I cant seem to install my drivers. Damn. Downloading drivers from android SDK. Crossing fingers.
Regarding viber, continue anyway mo lang. As long kaya madownload pwede yan. I encountered a game na hindi talaga compatible. Pag hindi compatible, unable to DL. Pag sinabing incompatible pero pwede icontinue, just continue. Ibig sabihin pwede naman.

Seem that superoneclick doesnt work for me. Nagffreeze na siya sa step 7. Downloaded all necessary files.
Tried your method.
Im starting to hate this phone. Might sell it and get a high end model

Furstrating. Done almost everything. Its's the first thing written http://bluerain28.info/?page_id=43.
Haha
Thanks tops_in_saucers. Also did those methods but still nothing.
Ito lang gumana sakin http://bluerain28.info/?page_id=43 just make sure to DL the right scatter file. Silly me
Now am an root user, I think.
So prior to this, gusto ko lang naman imove mga unmovable apps to SD. Nabasa ko kailagang root user. After that, kailangan pa palang ipartition ang SD card.
Then I found a CMD command to move unmovable apps files to SD. Wooh. Nagawa ko. At di naman pala kailangan ng root user to do this.
But since I have done almost 10hrs on how to root an android, might as well make most of it. Haha!
Im an unix based user at work. I am very familar why kailangan root user to do this. Pero sobrang nahirapan ako. I expected so much easier methods

Congrats!
So ano yung ginawa mo para ma-move yung files?
Akin kasi apps2sd.

All you have to do is this one bro. http://techgage.com/article/moving_your_non-movable_android_apps_to_an_sd_card/
Android SDK lang kailangan bro. And command sa CMD to enable moving files to SD.

Hello, new Android user here. Thanks.
As a unix user, being a root user is equivalent of being an administrator in windows. Parang administrator sa philmusic vs regular user. May mga privileges. I downloaded an app to remove ads. Has to be root lang. Probably due to copyright. Ayaw nila pinapasa sa ibang phone. I encrypted mine so that I can transfer nontransferable apps to my SD to save internal memory.

better check/look sa net any forums regarding your android phone. like... i.e. if your phone is HTC, try to look in HTC support website for any online forums, then register & join the discussions. most moderators there are the company's support team, which you can raise your queries to.
for me, upon joining my respective phone maker support forums, i have learned alot through their ongoing discussions, i have raised specific personal issues with my phone & got helpful answers.

Facebook for Android has an option to sync only with existing contacts in your Phone's address book. This will only work if the names of your FB friend list and phone contacts are the same.

^^ Too hard to tell if that OS will make android+samsung fans leave the product. Then again, it states that its a problem between motorola vs samsung. Google has its own phones, so Google is still competitors with Samsung on that department.
In my experience with samsung products, they dont have a very effective UI. Google on the other hand, for me, always have the best ideas with UI's. So I hope their tie up with Google will not end regardless that Google acquired Moto mobility.
Look what happened to HP/Palm.
Title: Re: Anything Android

actually, parehong may bloops(bloopers) ang Samsung at Google eh:
-Samsung, if they decided to leave the Android platform, would suffer a lot in their sales. most consumers would prefer Android based units simply because of the availability/accessibility of the market for paid and free apps. plus the fanbase and app developers of Android, should Samsung create their own version of "market", would not just shift to Bada dahil lang naging reliable at proven effective ang hardware setup ng Samsungs.

if the unit comes with a dual core processor and priced below 8k, go for it. im sure wifi tablet yan dahil may milagrong nangyayari sa pricing pag nilagyan ng 3G capability e hehehe
yung mga Coby Kyros, i dont trust them. single core units? walang OS upgrade option yan unless Android could come up with a stable OS in the future na kaya ng low end units..ang ganda lang ng Coby eh dahil visible sya sa market. makikita mo sya sa dept stores ng SM..pero di ko pa rin irerecommend yan as future proof tab.
yung Pipo ok yung mga dual core units nya. stable and smooth lalo na kung minimal ang paggamit mo ng widgets. ang tanong lang eh, battery life. compare mo yung tech specs nya with other tabs baka kasi mahinang battery ang nakasalpak dyan at yun ang maging cause ng disappointment mo.

Im using a zte v856 on 2.3.5.
Have a question though: SMS arrives multiple times, causing the succeeding messages to arrive late. A colleague is using the same version of the OS, different phone, yet also experiences this. Is there a fix to this?

Enticing specs. But with the price, I would still think you get what you pay for. I have a myphone cause I needed a dual sim. I dont even feel the dual core inside. It hangs almost everyday. Pag galing ka outside wifi then bigla ka pumasok, sabay sabay maguupdate lahat ng accounts and message mo. And this unit tends to get slow when that happens.

Added another android device at home. It's Alcatel one touch Inspire 2. Not bad as it's free at plan 350 from Smart. 4" screen (480 x 800), 512 RAM, dual core 1GHz proc, 4.1 Jellybean and expandable storage. Simple games and apps work. Ok for quick social media updates checking and emails. The usual FM, digital media player and all that. So far, my wife is happy about it.

Thats a myphone pre, this is cherry mobile.
You cant go wrong with the specs theyve thrown in these cosmos units, clone ng samsung units yan eh :))
Plus as ive mentioned earlier, madaming pinoy na nagdedevelop ng custom roms to maximize the android experience of the units.
Ive been lurking in some dev forums and i saw some benchmark results that line up with the likes of S3s and Xperias.

Onga myphone to, but what im pointing out is you still get what you pay for.
E kaso nung time ata nun, wala nag dedevelop ng custom rom for CM.

Probably most current phones won't get the update since today's smartphones are planned up to 4.2 or 4.3 JellyBean. And what's with the co-branding??

This is not the first time they have done co-branding (https://d2npbuaakacvlz.cloudfront.net/images/uploaded/large-present/2012/11/15/jelly-what-jelly-beans-1353052588.jpg)
Marketing strategy perhaps? Good naming convention and somewhat unique. Gusto ko ung ICS and JB in terms of sound. Pero Kitkat? Android Kitkat. Parang ang hirap bigkasin.

hi mga paps just want to get a little info about affordable smartphones out there. my contract with globe kasi is ending in 2 months time. medyo hindi appealing yung recontracting nila if i were to get an S5 parang lalabas na ang reward ko lang is ma reretain ko ang number ko and i would still have to pay for the phone laki ng cashout . i decided to get a rebate nalang sa monthly bill. mas maganda kasi they would cut my bill in almost half hehe. now my question is what is the best android smartphone that you can recommend under a 10k budget. pwede naman lumampas ng konti hehe and prefer ko kasi brandew
things that i consider is
-Battery life -speed -may okay na gps -user friendly -quality resolution -durability
and price heheh hindi naman ako brand specific im after the functionality battery at tibay ng phone hehe salamat sa mga makakapag bigay ng suggestions

Hey guys... i need your thoughts on the smartphones na nag lalabasan ngayon. to tell you the truth medyo hindi ko alam kung anong bibilhin ko. medyo nalilito talga ako weather to get a samsung or our local smartphones na i must say really competitive when it comes to pricing and functionality. In not really comfortable shelling out more than 10k for a phone nang hihinayang ako. kasi for the past 4 years i have been getting my phones for free. eh medyo di ako na please sa offers ni globe ngayon so i opted to go on a rebate nalang then get a phone sa labas. I came across this low priced quad core phones. grabe ang specs yung isa myphone rio ata tapos i saw din yung sa cherry mobile na naka gorilla glass. tapos vs sa samsung galaxy grand na dual core lang pero priced at 12k so the later phones only go for 5 to 7k pero man!!! sobrang layo ng specs nila. my question is okay ba ang quality at service ng myphone at cherry mobile nowadays? and ano pa ba magandang smartphones. except samsung and apple? salamat sa inputs guys :)

^^ To tell you honestly? The processor they are advertising, all marketing scheme. although tama naman. Quad core sila and whatnot. Result: Naghahang at babagal din sa katagalan. Tapos ung OS updated pa to latest. It will only result a slower phone.
I have had a myphone before. Flashship model nung time niya. From time to time kailangan ko ireset ung myphone ko nun due to hanging. My dad is a Cherry user for the longest time narin. You will get what you pay for. It is a fact that after a year these phones will have their depreciation. But in the end, you will get what you pay for
That is my honest opinion.

thanks for the honest input paps. Im not really knowledgable kasi when it comes to this subject. ngayon lang ako mag ssmart phone eh . and Im really confused on what to get. yung cherry mobile i saw one na quad core tapos 1gb of ram. hindi ba siya enough for that processor? im really concerned about yung durability. baka wala pang isang taon puro problems na ako. things like that. some said okay daw. "bang for the buck" then yung iba naman madali daw masira. .

Okay ill try to explain the processor and ram in layman's term Processor. It will let you open stuff on a timely manner. So kung quad core, mabilis siya. Ram. This lets you to multi task. Kung mas marami kang opened apps, mas nauutilize ung ram.
Ngayon may quad core ka nga. Pag ON mo ng cellphone. Mabilis siya. Mabilis mag boot. Mabiis ka makapag bukas ng games. Ng messages. Ng facebook, instagram and whatnot.

Quad core, 1 gig ram? The samsung galaxy S2 was only dual core and 1gb ram. At its time, it has the reliability of not hanging until now. I would believe and argue that this is much reliable than a quad core and 1gb of ram.

I've always wanted to use ubuntu or another linux distro instead of the bloatware OS that came with my Alcatel Pop C7 (Alcatel OT 7040E) . Already rooted it and already removed a bit of the bloatware but still lacks internal memory. As well as having an 500MB EXT2 partition on my microSD for Link2SD (hehe sounds like my first callcenter Link2S...... anyway...) for moving ("linking") some apps to that partition instead of the main internal phone memory and also had enabled a 600MB Swap file partition.... still checking if this is a stable mix and raise or lower the Swap file size if needed...

lumalagpas na tayo sa age na ang 32gb internal storage ay malaki pa rin para sa requirements ng user. i dont know what people nowadays are storing in their phones but ive seen a massive demand for manufacturers to deliver a handset with a 64gb storage..

Media files like music and movies I think. Pero in a commute back and forth, tingin ko ay 4 albums eh oks na, unless FLAC ang gamit, it's less than 512MB.
So yeah, 32GB is more than enough for me.

Thanks in advance guys.

Hinila ako dati ng kaibigan to join a Note II users' group. He he he.

Note7 unit explodes in 6-year-old boy's hands – report
MANILA, Philippines – Reports about Samsung Galaxy Note7 units exploding and causing damage continue to surface since the Korean phone-maker recalled the model.
Among the most recent is that of a 6-year-old boy from New York who was allegedly injured when a Note7 exploded in his hand. A report by the New York Post said that the boy had been using the phone at home, Saturday night, September 10, when the phone suddenly caught fire on its own. The boy reportedly suffered burns to his body
hah! like everyone who is not on iPhone uses Samsungs.
pagkakataon na ng mga ibang brands to rise and shine.

It's time to accept reality Android users. The headphone jack's going away.
If you haven't gotten over Apple removing the headphone jack from the iPhone 7, then make it your New Year's resolution to do so because Android phones are almost certainly going to follow suit and gut the port.
Word on the street is HTC's next flagship phone, expected to be unveiled on Thursday, will be the latest phone to kill the headphone jack.
For those who have migrated from a Samsung Galaxy to another brand of Android cfon.

dunno really... anyways I was able to export all the memos from my Galaxy S5 to a pdf which is readable by Xodo. Tedious to re-encode; but my battery was dying, so I have moved on...
I miss navigating through a Samsung and miss its functions. But what's done is done; and new Samsungs are just too over-priced.

Di ko alam kung overpowered na o sadyang kailangang umangat talaga from old to newer one.
Nakakamiss mag android. I'm using this old iPhone 6, nakahawak narin ako ng iba ibang platforms ng mobile phone pero iba talaga eh. Maraming magagawa, user-friendly kahit saang angulo.

wag oppo and vivo. puro papogi lang yan with popular celebs and athletes endorsing them pero fail ang hardware nyan.
go for ASUS or Xiaomi. but i dont think the 5k budget will not afford the decent spec'd ones na pwedeng laruan nyan lalo na pubg.
