I go for the Ibanez JD9.... I'va had ts808, fd2 and Jd9 at the same time on my board before pero pinaka madaming sound variations ang JD9 because of the mids.. =) plus, it's cheap at 4k bnew... =)

for versatility, i would choose fulltone ocd ver.4.
2nd option would be a proco rat2

if money is not an issue, i would also consider a wampler triple wreck.

sort of cheating cause its a twin pedal ... but it goes really cheap on ebay!

its an awesome pedal ... it has a hard time with super hi-gain metal, but you can still nail it if you have really clean technique

For me, it's still a JT Valveboy boosted by a lovepedal eternity. I tried several dirt pedals through the years expecting that i'd find a better sounding drive and i always end up selling them and going back to these two.

Anyway BTT, if I were to choose, I'd go with Catalinbread DLS. It doesn't sound like a pedal. It sounds like an amp. Just my 2 cents.
