i got my seven-string Ibaņez replica for 7,900++ nakalimutan ko na exact price, pero sale sya that time. i brought it to one of our friendly luthiers to have it checked and here is his diagnosis:
- intonation has some discrepancies
- wood:
neck-a combination of maple and unidentified china wood
body- basswood
- the frets have some discrepancies also, though very minor, and almost just like the measurement of a real Ibaņez
- truss rod is fine
- Pickups are not made in the philippines (korea yata)
- licensed floyd is also from korea
- string buzz in some areas
recommendations:
- have it intanated
i also want to lower the action and some major re-sculpting would be done on the body and neck to give easier acces to the higher frets. if necessary, fret levelling din siguro.
if you have the money, bili ka na lang siguro ng real Ibaņez, i just bought mine because i'm planning to use it as a "lab rat" ... planning to have it modified heavily to my liking, e sayang naman kung totoong Ibaņez ang kakatayin ko di ba?
if it sounded good eh di ayus
promising naman yung guitara so far...
about amps, P2,200 reg price nya bro, yun yung pinakamura, pero pangit tunog.
pero as i have mentioned earlier in this forum, meron silang magagandang guitars, tsambahan na lang siguro, basta i try mo lahat ng type mo para makapili ka ng suited sa taste mo.
have you checked out the yamaha and washburn packages?
