hindi naman parang watusi (crackling) sir?

try niyo din po linisin yun In/Out jacks sir pati po yun Plug (tip & sleeve) ng patch cable/guitar cable na naka connect sa in/out jacks ng wah..

use cotton buds + rubbing alcohol (or denatured alcohol) not too dripping lang po para wala ng tutulo sa circuit sa loob ng pedals.. ingat lang po ang pahid not too hard baka po maiwan yun cotton sa loob.

if hindi naalis.. try it on all of your pedals.. airconditioned siguro palagi ang storage niya like sa room or madalas i-travel sa back seat ng kotse instead sa compartment?

1)  "malapit yung wah sa power supply" → it could be.. kasi ang point of discussion here is yun interaction between 2 magnetic fields.. magnetic field ng transformer ng psu at yun fasel inductor ng wah (that is kung meron siya)..

now being both coil, puwedeng manghawa sila ng magnetic field and/or other interferences (e.g. RFI - radio frequency interference)  at puwedeng mahawaan ng magnetic field and/or other interferences.. kaya critical sila.. but there is an exception → i believe both psu and wah pedal are well-enclosed.  so considering this, redundant na yun issue about the magnetic fields interactions.. sa akin lang when i suggest sa mga clients ko na ilayo sa psu yun wah.. it's just being too careful..

2) "airconditioned room" → there's no point of argument naman with this.. most especially if we love our gears that much.. but be very wary.. mag lagay ng silicone beads or any other mositure absorbent.. because every metal naman are permeable with vapors.. mapa gold man siya or just plain iron.. even glass and plastics are all permeable with vapors..

now, kapag sumipsip na ng cold air yun metal parts most especially yun metal part ng connectors.. may mga kasamang heavy metals or micro dirt yang vapors.. kapag nabago ang temperature ipapawis at matutuyo madalas kasama ng dust or micro dirt na kasama ng vapors.. pero none the less, kahit may bag man ang mga pedals or hardcase.. once the vapors reaches the metal part ng connectors.. eventually it will build atleast from a start a thin layer of dirt.. minsan nakukuha alisin sa pag-ikot-ikot ng plug ng patch cable or tanggal kabit.. worse kapag makapal na yun layer magkakaron na ng discoloration.. next thing we know kinain na ng corrosion yun tin-coating (titanium nitrate) ng brass hardwares kaya madalas kapag naalis yun corrosion mawawala na yun tin-coating at tanso (brass) na yun lilitaw.. mas prone na ito sa copper corrosion or patina..

therefore:. as i told my clients everytime.. if you love your gears, clean them atleast once a week.. with alcohol-based not oil-based or with out silicone residue cleaners..

though i have an experience before.. may nagpapalit ng knob ng isang clyde mccoy wah.. he told me it was scratchy pero turns out after palitan ko ng ilang beses ng bagong potentiometer yun acclaimed scratchy pot eh hndi naaalis yun noise.. turns out may electrostatic noise or some sort of stray voltages or earth potential rise going on inside it's circuit kasi mukhang something like electrostatic noise is eminating from the circuit which causes this potentiometer to trigger ESD (electrostatic discharge) everytime it's being rotated..

my point is baka may ganun yun wah pedal.. this is all academic lang naman incase cleaning does not answer our problem, we have other things to consider..

try mo din ilayo sa wireless system yun wah.. and let's see if may pagkakaiba

Good Read! thank you sa information Sir, at nagka idea ako on how to take care of my gears, btw yung power supply nsa ilalim pla ng board,

try mo din ilayo sa wireless system yun wah.. and let's see if may pagkakaiba

sige sir, subukan ko ito, although may separate pa kong power supply, na kung saan ko first time sinubukan yung evh wah wala pang noise at that time at on the floor lang dn yung wah at that time, as in wah lang, then yung drive/gain sa amp ko knukuha, after ko ma experience yung noise sa main board ko, binalik ko sya sa kung pano ko sya sinubukan dati, andoon dn tlga yung noise nung wah, di na maalis

yun na nga mas redundant na yun issue with magnetic field interactions..

yun dating psu na sa iyo pa ba?  or kung may extra adapter ka.. maige kung atleast extra 2.. para ma-try mo if the noise will remain using  the 3 psu (pp2 & 2 extra).. or may piling adapter may noise..

if may noise pa din after testing it in 3 psu/adapter.. i'm afraid baka may problema sa B+ supply or circuit ng evh wah.. let us say, sa pp2 lang may noise at wala sa other 2 adapter

(1) puwedeng may problema yun circuit ng output ng pp2 kung saan gamit mo yun evh.. in that case puwede mo din try ipalit sa ibang output to see kung ganun pa din or hindi.. kung ganun pa din → it means walang problema yun circuit ng output na gamit sa evh.. considering sinabi mo na may noise pa din kahit na magisa na lang yun evh, it means (2) → mukhang may problema nga sa b+ supply and/or circuit ng evh..

i would also suggest mapa-voltage reading yun output ng pp2 kung saan ginamit mo sa evh wah to see if may discrepancy..

to avoid corrosion build-up → clean the metal connectors with cotton buds + alcohol better alternative for alcohol is metal polisher.. try not to over do it.. yun tama lang at hndi excessive..
