yes, we thought about it before pero mas madali dito sa texas.  we don't have state tax so federal lang ang binabawas sa suweldo.  and mahal nga bahay diyan... what you pay for a "normal" house over there would get you a big house over here.  pero siyempre, matindi nga naman ang lifestyle diyan... daming gimmick.  it's all about the trade-offs.  for now, habang bata pa pamilya ko, we've decided to stay here para maka-ipon.

Not just housing. Gas prices fluctuates like crazy here, too. Don't know if that's the case with other states.

that is why ...the pinoys who were here first and bought houses are so lucky....I live in a townhouse and maybe if the house prices drop...I'm gonna get a real house .....so I can have my own recording studio.

I heard it's really cheap there in other states...but I like it here....if I feel like I wanna be in the Philippines...I just go to a the San Fernando valley and be with all the pinoys eating pinoy food.

sarap nga dyan sa Cali...dapat thats what the philippines is suppose to be, kaya lang wala e, Sayang!im sure nobody will leave the philippines kung paris sana ng cali...

i always enjoy myself when i go there, para ka rin talagang nasa pinas, with less poverty. yun nga lang, super mahal ng housing, everything is cheap except rent and/or real estate...

The front & back yard each has a square footage as that of the house itself. Pero nasa 10K naman ang annual property tax nya.
Inversely proportionate lang naman ang home value/property tax sa karamihan ng better States.
Going back to the EB, kelan na talaga ang sigurado? Phil, you still have to email me the BT we're going to use. Para naman hindi totally disastrous ang maging pagsulpot ko. Paki padala mo naman sa gmail ko. Thanks.

Paint striper. Apply, scrape, a sand. Be carefull for most, if not all, of these chemicals are very toxic. Well ventilated workspace, face mask and eye goggles are suggested. Mask and goggles have to be specifically made for chemical use. You can get all these at OSH or HOME DEPOT. You will also need an old long sleeve shirt to protect your arms from accidental splashes of the chemical. This is the fastest way I did my stripping when I re-finish a guitar. If this doesn't work than you can always rough it out and just use the coarsest sand paper that you can get.

Is this your son's black strat? That's cool! Are you going for the red color? Are you using water based or oil based paints? I used to do that with my guitars. Stains, burst, and solid finishes. Very streneous and taxing job but very fulfilling at the end.

Dan...I think I'll just go with the #60 then move up to 100......I'm too clumsy to handle toxic stuff especially at home.

I'm working on my one and only (first) electric guitar that made me come back to playing.....a modded out Gio that sounds like my higher end guitars. I got accustomed to the that neck that I can almost play any brand neck with ease....see if I'll do tung oil  if the wood is nice....or just put a thin coat of wood furniture paint..."Bumblebee yellow"...then a clear protective gloss coat to finish. I already colored my sons black Squire mini to red.....let me tell you this....can't believe how thick the paint is...painted it gloss red ....thin coat...then it made the guitar sound really nice....that standard thick paint dulls the guitar sound.

That's great. I stopped re-finishing guitars because I ended having too many projects in my plate. Just starting to re-fret a strat that I had for a while now. Finished the electronics and bridge instalation just to find out that there is a dead spot on the 20th fret. I'll try to work around it. If not than re-fret it is. Or maybe just get a new neck. Well see.
