Title: easy double pedal starting out song?

hi my lil sis just bought double peds and i was just wondering what song would be okay to study first to get the hang of using double pedals, i was thinking songs that were average tempo that had occasional triplets throughout the song any suggestions? if there are songs that arent metal, that would be great because doesnt really like metal (but still wants to learn how to use double peds) hehe exercises are also welcome :wink:

yeh.. tried it.. wala lumalabas sa search eh, dami ko na sinubukan: easy songs to learn drums suggested songs learn drums easy song learn drums suggested song learn drums madaling kanta drums easy kanta drums recommended songs drums etc etc

start out and experiment with your own feet muna, study the pros and cons of using a double pedal, and excercise your feet :-) then you can try out covering From First To Last songs, Blessthefall, mga ganun. then you can try out Slipknot, TDWP or even BMTH! :-) goodluck sir :-)

Sorry my mistake. I was actually referring to this thread but its not solely on double pedals .---> http://talk.philmusic.com/board/index.php/topic,24386.0.html and I also believe you've seen it already. Anyway, based on the thread okay nga yung "Crossfade" by Primus (recommended by Lildrummerboy) and I'd recommend "Winona's Big Brown Beaver" by Primus as well.

No problem Sir! Incase she wants to try out semi-heavy songs out, ok rin to start out with "Nerdy" by Poison the Well as well as "End of Heartache" by Killswitch Engage.

yung mga songs ng kittie. kasi hindi naman masyado mabilis. tska madali ma intindihan yung pattern.. o di kaya kadalasan diretso lang siya... dugudugupak... etc.. ganun lang.
di ata ako agree na lamb of god na easy song sa double pedal .kasi meron yung nabubulunan yung bass drum puro triplet..

"Omerta" is indeed the easiest Lamb of God song to play but it might be a bit tough for a double pedal beginner. :-)

yung omerta nga. pero Yung thread kasi tinatanong madali daw. siguro advantage yung marunong mag slide or heel toe etc.. para sa triplet sa mga lamb of god songs..

oops pahabol lng.. cguro estimate ko lng, 10 lessons ata yan.. nakompleto nila ipadala ung lessons ng 2weeks ata.. so may time ka parin i-master ung mga naunang ipadalang lessons.

try nyo po mag count ng 1-2-3-4 tapos gamit ka ng metronome hanggang pag sanay kana sa isang tempo dagdagan mo ulet hanggang sa bumilis...
try mo yung ibang killswitch songs ex: My curse, End of heartache etc. yan pa mejo simple yang mga yan

gusto mo ng madali? as in sobrang dali masusuka ka na? hehe,
try mo "perfection through silence" by the finch mabagal pero tuloy-tuloy sya through-out the song at sa mga verses nya ma-prapractice yung feet and hand combinations mo
some song from senses fail are good play alongs for single stroke/feet ang hand fills practice like "rum is for drinking not burning" and "can't be saved"
it's better to start from lighter easier songs rather charging at metal songs w/out feet and hand techniques... para kang sumugod sa gyera na hindi marunong humawak baril pero takbo-ka ng takbo...
hindi porke't magaling ka na ibig sabihin magaling ka rin kapag may nag-gigitara at kumakanta na, so i prefer inserting double pedal variations to single pedal songs like: "7 words"-deftones "lie"- saydie "cosmopolitan bloodloss"-glassjaw at the same time practisado din ang pagasunod ang dalawang paa sa bass(guitar) especialy at 7 words, pwede mong sundan sa paa yung bass
kapag naman wala kang magawa at tinatamad kang magdrums, i-angat mo lang heels mo tapos baba, gayahin mo ang motion ng paa mo kapag nagpepedal
kung hindi ka parin marunong after 1 month bigay mo nalang pedals mo sakin hhehehe

Nabanggit na ba yung Haunted by Evanescence? I find the use of double peds tasteful in that song. And your sis won't get tired legs just by hammering away, in fact she'll probably learn how to use them in context (and in rhythm) when she hears songs like these.
Pa-try mo lang. Easy listening naman ang evanescence e. :-)

yung mga kantang binibigay ng mga tao dito "madali", pero depende sa tao at sa tagal mo nang experience sa double peds. siguradong karamihan ng beginner hindi matutugtog to ng maayos.
at para maiba naman, hiphop na kantang may double bass: gang starr - take it personal. pang beginner talaga. "du-gu-du-gu-pak, dug-dug-pak"
