ako i do, sir. my mapex mayan has die cast hoops and my sledgehammer has sonic savers and i can say na sa feel palang kapag nahawakan mo na, alam mo nang mas tatagal ang sticks mo sa sonic saver hoops. i used a new pair of sticks when i first tried out the sledgehammer and after a couple of hours of playing, it's pretty visible na less yung uka sa sticks. still feels like a die cast hoop kaya sarap parin mag rimshot. :)

sorry bro, hindi ko nga alam na may binebenta separately na sonic saver hoops. meron nga ba? yung mga black panther snares kasi ngayon, naka sonic savers lahat.

hindi kaya mas okay na wag mo na palitan ng die cast yung ilalim (if ever yun ang balak mo). parang yung snare ni stewart copeland. die cast yung batter, flanged yung reso. ang logic behind that is to have a nice crack kapag nag rimshot ka sa batter tapos you won't lose as much resonance due to the flanged hoop sa reso.

pero kung naka die cast na naman yung reso side mo, okay na yun wag mo na palitan. having different hoops due to the "science" behind it is good siguro if you are that anal about it and kapag you want a specific sound sa recording. kapag live naman wala na epekto yan.

meron po sir vandal :) nag ask ako 2 weeks ago kasi balak ko irestore yung pearl ko na steel snare parang nasa 2k to 2.5k din yata same price lang ang batter at reso  :)

meron, sir. andun sa new gear na thread, check it out, pampagana.  :)

pinatry naman ako nung taga-TMS. kausapin mo si Abe, very accomodating. actually, yung display nila dun na sledgehammer yun daw mismo yung ginamit ni Robert sa isa sa mga gig nila. kapag nakita mo, andumi na nung batter head, haha, pero panalo yung tunog! unang palo ko palang, i knew right away na yun na yung snare na kukunin ko. ni hindi ko na nga tinry yung Blaster, which was my second choice. kaya ayun, nilabas na agad nila yung stock nila tapos tinono pa ni Robert.

Hi guys just a question about the Mapex Snares. I'm planning of getting the MPX Maple Snare I'm thinking of getting the 14x6 or 14x7 if available. Do you guys recommend MPX line? I'm kinda in a low budget. Thanks and God Bless! :)

Save for Black Panther lines.... kasi mahirap magbenta pag gusto mo na ma upgrade to higher models. May mga ngbebenta dito sa philmusic ng mura. Abang ka lang.  :)
