Welcome!

It's "LEI" not "LEE"

ear phones tapos those ear muffs for shooters are good enough for me when
i'm really trying to play along music as hard and loud and exacting as possible.
really big help for isolating the drum sound but not too much.

About the ring you hear after drumming
« Reply #60 on: February 22, 2008, 07:34:43 PM »

Meron ba kong pwedeng gawin para mawala kaagad to?

:-( Di kasi ako nakaearplugs  :-(

nako nakakatakot yan. ako noon di ako aware sa hearing protection, after ko tumugtog lakas ng ring sa tenga ko.hirap ako matulog.what i would do is turn the tv on para may konting ingay.now, either i use vic firth isolation headphones or use er20 na plugs pag tumugtog.better wear earplugs now.

When practicing, I usually play to minus-drum mp3 recording of my band's originals, or click tracks saved on my mp3 player. For this reason, I use my trusty Sennheiser HD250 (medyo entry level) closed headphones, and my cheap-o (but surprisingly decent) A4-Tech in-ear/canal earphones. I once tried wearing the IEM's to a gig, and yes, they isolated sound effectively. But not to the point where I couldn't hear the guitars and bass.

nangyari na ba sa'yo ito?

after 10-15mins of drumming with your ear-muffs/plugs on, then take it off. then try to play again. notice that the sound of the drums, specially the snare, sobrang matinis ang sound nya na maskit sa tenga kung malakas mong papaluin.

why is that? ano kaya ang nangyayari dun? is there something wrong with my ears already or is it just normal.
