Guys what do you think of bands with no guitar solo's?? I mean some songs dont need guitar solo's but what about those who literary has none?

depende sa kanta... yung iba hindi kailangan... yung ibang kanta craves for that exclamation point na ginagawa ng guitar solo.

Mga punk songs ganyan talaga lalo na yung mga old school tulad ng Ramones, Misfits at iba pa, e sa akin ok naman dyan naman nagsimula ang punk, minimal musical knowledge at ability lang ang kaylangan ok na. Sabi nga sa isang fanzine nalimutan ko na ang pangalan..."Heres 3 chords, now form a band!". Besides its hard to pogo when theres a solo.

I once read on guitar school magazine that johnny reznik of goo goo dolls hates guitar solos...

Personally it doesn't matter so long as the song arrangement is good.

David Aguirre said this in an interview:

"There are songs I wrote in a very "Dylan-esque" manner.. I'ts not about a cool lick or this technical thing. We're in a rock 'n' roll band, and y'know, sometimes it's just about swinging your arms around, man.."

I think he says that as long as your song expresses what you really wanna say, even without those face-melting licks (although he still throws such to us

), the song would still rock!

Iba kasi pag nafefeel mo yung solo biglang lalabas. Sa gusto mo mag solo(or pasikat).

nice views guys, but isnt it a fact that some guitarist are just not good or dont know how to do solos? Lisa Loeb said in an interview that she is not good with guitar solos, thats why her music is like that. I also asked a guitarist from a solo artist the person is not good at it too.

other songs dont require solos, but if a whole album does not even had a single solo isnt it that the guitarist really dont know how to do it?or not good at it?

ok lang yun kanya kanyang style din.. .parang sa falloutboy songs walang solo pero ok naman parang ndi mo na maisipan ng mas maganda pang arrangement.. .at may feel naman yung mga riffs.. .kaya no need na cgru sa mga ganun.. .pero kung sa rock n' roll naging tradition na kasi eh.. .tipong pag walang pamatay na solo "ay laos" ang nasa isip agad hehe.. .

maraming kanta na may solo pero hindi pasok like april boy regino's song marami siyang kanta daming solo pero hindi naman natin matripan. sometimes it's in your own preferences. saka kung hindi mo naman talaga kayang maglead bakit natin pipilitin kung ok naman ang mga music na nagagawa mo. (hindi rin kasi ko marunong magsolo. hehehe...) "born to be wild" doesn't have a solo but still it's a kick @ss song and it has a good riffs. it's not sign of the time kasi even before rock started marami ng songs ang walang solos or leads.
