whats your pick?

well ive stumbled upon a thread about this

but I just dont agree with certain people there claiming that a cheap guitar does not deserve to be in a hardcase.

For me a guitar with a sentimental value deserves to be protected no matter how much is it.

whats your comment about this? and what do you prefer a gig bag or hard case? on the other hand there is also a "road case" its much tougher than a hard case as seen on the gator website.

ang bigat ng acoustic ko pag nasa hard case pero i prefer to be safe than sorry. narealize ko ang importance ng hard case nung nag office party kami and wala akong ginawa kundi bantayan ang gitara ko kasi naka gig bag lang.

Hardcase = for long travel and solid protection
SoftCase = less space and madaling dalhin

hardcase for storage sa bahay at pag nag travel atleast may hard case

Hardcase all the way even during gigs. I find it funny that people spend so much on hardcases and pedalboards for their effects yet use a cheaply made softcase for their guitars.

Soft case for local gigs.
Hard case pag may biyahe or kung may kasamang bigatin na banda para magmukha ka ring bigatin.

kung may kotse yung kabanda ko softcase lang,. mas maganda talaga one of your bandmates may auto para di hassle magbitbit ng gamit.

Kung habol mo ang mas magandang protection para sa gitara mo, hardcase.
Kung sa tingin mo naman na hindi naman ganun ka-hassle i-byahe yang gitara mo, padded softcase pwede na. (Kuha ka na lang na mga thick padded gig bags)

i've tried both. i think it's gig bag for me. since i don't own a car, it's better to have one that you can carry on your shoulder. pero pag nagkaron na ako ng car, siguro il switch to a flight case.

Oo, hardcase talaga for storage & protection...
Pero yun nga, tagilid talaga sa portability.
Lalu na kung wala kang sariling sasakyan

(at payatot ka hehe)

Kaya ayun, kanya kanyang pros and cons depende na
lang siguro kung alin mas bagay sa situation nung gitarista/gitara

Kung yung benifits ng portability ng softcase outweighs yung
sa security ng hardcase...... eh di softcase...

I'd go for both..

Hardcase = Mahabang byahe at storage purposes.
Softcase = Convenience tsaka portability. Para sa mga malalapit lang na gigs and such.

definitely a WELL-MADE gigbag for me. i tried going the hardcase route, and more often than not, it is a headache: its damn heavy, it is bulky (try fitting a bass on a honda civic trunk) and i dont know where to store it when im onstage.

the only time im happy with a hardcase is when i have 2 friends who are willing to help me... and nope, i dont have friends like that (as a matter of fact, i end up hauling their gear too *lol* im too nice and stupid).
