closure of perfect pitch - south mall branch
« on: July 24, 2011, 12:02:08 PM »
I guess I was late to know about this. Visited the mall to have my strings replaced but eventually found myself looking for it, until later I discovered that it was closed. What was happening recently? Is playing guitar now that expensive for more folks? or Its just the transfer of location that brought to its closure. Can you shed me some light about this? I was also worried that more band members just shifted to other jobs aside from music.. or is it that youngsters these days have different hobbies aside from music  :?

It's not really about music at all. It's just bad business. Maraming stocks na di nebebenta = lugi.

As mentioned, di na siguro profitable masyado. Simple as that. Of course, that can be caused by a lot of things, including the one you said (less interest nowadays, which is somewhat true). Or baka mas mahal na talaga overhead these days.

Miss that place. Maganda rin yung store kasi di masikip masyado.

after SM Bacoor, now South Mall branch? baka maubusan na ng pupuntahan mga musikero sa south.  :-(
mahirap din kase access road papuntang South Mall, heavy trafik lagi Alabang-Zapote rd. and may Audiophile, Lyric, etc. sa Festival.

pwede din sigurong factor eh more people now are buying 2nd hand items rather than buying it brandnew from the store or getting the items from our dealers here in PM na much cheaper compared sa store nila just my 2 cents. kahit sabihin natin na mangilan ngilan lang tayo dito sa PM na bumibili sa ng 2nd hand items may impact parin siguro sa sales nila yun kahit papaano.

Taga Laguna ako, but I'd rather go straight to the Yupangco showroom (pag may sasakyan) or Perfect Pitch Park Square (kung commute) than go to Southmall.

I still look forward to the day when a Perfect Pitch branch opens in Festival Mall Alabang. If and when that happens, kumpleto na dun, more so than any other mall in Metro Manila.

I'm afraid it's a sign of things to come...but still at the back of my mind I hope I'm wrong in my presumptions.

As of now, the most "complete" area for me is Trinoma/SM North. May ppitch, JB, at Lyric.

Sa North/QC area, maybe (and you have to combine the two malls, I think?). Festival Mall Alabang has Audiophile, JB, Lazer, at least three Lyric Stores, RJ, TMS/Hi-Fi Lounge and In-Tune (as well as that other store selling pianos and cheap guitars). As in Yamaha/Perfect Pitch na lang ang hinihintay.

One more to go  Yeahh, combined nga. Medyo hassle lakarin yung Trinoma papuntang SM just for the guitar stores na iba

well have to see.
