I thought I'd start a post-event thread here for all of us junkies who had a hell of a time last Sat. From the really HOT TUBE amps and SEXY guitars to the really HOT and sexy members of the crowd... hahaha.

It was our pleasure at Rebolusyon Rekords and Rakrakan to be part of the 1st Bluesfest. It felt good to be involved in a blues show in Manila after taking the Blueskrieg train up south and north of Luzon...

Kudos to Andy and The Blue Rats for starting the Bluesfest. Hats off to Pidoy and the hobbits for handling the massive surge of people. Big shoutout to all forumites who came and special thanks to the following:

- the bands Soul Benders, Plug, Kulukati, Snakecharmer (welcome back), The Blue Rats, Jun Lopito and Diamond Dogs, Mr Crayon and Alex of Hukkah
- RJ UR 105.9 for the radio plugs
- Pidoy and Hobbit House crew
- Howlin Dave for the energetic emceeing
- Direk for running a tight show
- Jonathan for the video coverage
- and May for ensuring that everybody got paid, hehehe.

What a fantastic evening of soulful blues and rock n roll. Sa uulitin.

At the risk of sounding like too much of a stroker....

Gerry, Direk, and the Rebolusyon crew were outstanding. Real pros -- first musicfest of more than 6 bands in the Philippines that I've ever seen run on-time and in-order of the lineup.

The bands were so great and the playing so saksak -- we gotta do that again.

We have 8 other bands who are ready to have a go at a 2nd Edition!!!
