try using belt drive or direct drive pedals (pearl, axis etc..) mas malambot siya compared sa chain drive IMO. but anyways, practice makes perfect.. this could help out too!

Weak footwork? try these tips...

1. mag heel up ka lagi (heel up = more kick power). Check your throne height, kung mababa, try mo taasan.
2. kung nahihirapan ka, you need to exercise your feet para lalong lumakas ang paa mo. Weights may not be required as you will be aiming for endurance and not short term strength.
3. Get a branded pedal. Fully adjustable ang mga ito to suit your preferred settings.

Tested ko na to and it worked for me. Hope it works for you....

Its never the pedal bro. Its always the foot. True may factor ang drum pedal sa comfort, pero if your footwork is good, the patterns will sound amazing in any pedal(given its in good working condition)  :-D Develop mo lang. Take note that It will not happen overnight. If you have to keep practicing the same patterns for a month, then do so.

about customizing the pedal, I guess you can only do minor things, Like putting on grip sa foot board and changing the beater. Other than that you cant do anything else.
Just adjust the settings for now.
Pero in the long run. Get a good pedal.  :-)

Remember: Its not the pedal, Its your foot  :-)
