Title: "Musician inside and outside the church at the same time"

Okay lang ba sa mga musician sa church na mag-gig din as long as hindi napapabayaan ang ministry? Pag tumugtog ba ng secular songs at tumugtog sa bars o kahit saan (for a living) nagcoconform na agad sa mundo? comment your reaction below.

Tingin ko ok lang naman. As long na hindi ka magcocompromise sa faith mo at di mapapabayaan ministry.  :-D

At alam mo dapat limitation mo..hehe.. lalo sa lugar, kasama, kind of music (e.g. lyrics, ). At yung motibo kung bakit ka tutugtog sa labas. there's nothing wrong with it as long as you glorify God in everything that you do.  :)

Papasok na rin po kasi ako sa pagsho-show band. Yung kabanda ko christians rin maliban sa lead guitarist.

May mga kristyano po kasi sa paligid namin na parang tutol sa gagawin namin. Hindi ko tuloy alam kung tama ba sila o masyado na silang 'extreme'.

syempre pwede yan...  hindi ka naman mabubuhay sa pananampalataya lang lagi...  tapos pababayaan mo na mga gastusin sa bahay, pang kain ng pamilya mo... natural kelangan mo  kumita para sayo... kaso dahil sa mga bars common mga inuman, mga babae nakakabuhay ng pagkalalake dahil maninipis mga suot.... eh dapat mag ingat ka... dahil kahit kahit sobrang active ka sa ministry nyo... tatablan ka parin nyan...

Ok lang naman daw ung tumutugtog sa labas... pero limited din syempre... kung tutugtog ka para sa entertainment ok lang yan... pero kung ttugtog ka example nlng sa bars para masiyahan ang mga mabisyo at napapatagal pa inuman nila dahil ineentertain nyo... siguro mali na as a christian musician

Ok lang po yan sir syempre dapat first prioritie mo parin yung gawain sa simbahan, kasi syempre isa yun sa way mo ng pag papasalamat sa talentong binigay sayo. Tumutugtog din po ako sa labas.

Nothing wrong with this setup since karamihan naman ng musikero eh volunteer/sessionist at hindi full time music ministers.  Ang importante is yung way of life/lifestyle kapag wala na sa church at walang nakamasid sa atin dapat may integrity. :)

Okay naman tumugtog sa labas. In my opinion kasi, its better to experience everything sa music. Playing different genres will give you more flexibility in playing, lalo na pag hinalo mo na sa worship.

Just don't forget your faith and iwas lang din sa bisyo. :D
