It's a known fact that's hard to accept. But I have to agree with that. Well at least we're lucky to have them. To have those people who chose that path knowing that the music industry here in our country have no system. I mean musicians hard work don't sure to get pay-off or musicians don't get what is due for them. (Only the singers always get the credit.) hahahaha

Agree... Doesn't mean we're starting to sound foreign. Late bloomer lang siguro tayo kaya yung mga na-eexplore na genre ay meron ng nauna sa ibang bansa.

depende...

if you're only considering the bands that get played in the "masa music" stations (read - POGI ROCK), i'd say "the local bands today all sound the same"

but if you also consider the huge number of unsigned and/or upcoming bands, i'd say "the local bands today are in need of more exposure"

Pinoy indie acts nga pala tinutukoy ko sa post ko sa taas.

it depends on what kind of local bands your talking about
if your talking about some local underground bands well tey need a little bit of exposure and credit.
as for some mainstream bands depends also on what band.
some are just in it for the money.

Parang:
"Ako may banda, Ikaw may banda, Siya may banda, Lolo mo nagbanda, Kapitbahay mo may banda, si Kuya Balong mo may banda, etc."

Wala naman pong masama eh. At least marami na sa atin ang nahihilig sa pagtugtog.

Yun nga lang, parang nagiging overcrowded na rin po ang mga airwaves natin. Sa sobrang dami na ng mga banda ngayon, parang ang hirap na alalahanin mga kanta nila. Parang mabilis na tuloy sila malaos. Unlike noon na konti lang mga banda sa mundo kaya nagkakaron sila ng adequate exposure sa radio.

Hmmmm...... Kinda makes you think....
