Antivirus Websites Is Also Possible Source Of Virus
« on: November 26, 2009, 11:51:09 AM »
Share ko lang sa inyo guys about my experience , which is kinda unusual at the same time muntik na akong mawalan ng trabaho dahil sa incident na ito.

I’m using 2 antivirus in my PC which is Avira and Bit Defender, which is in my opinion it really works well, dahil kung hindi madetect nung isa, yung other antivirus ang nakakadetect.  But for some reason tinamaan pa rin ng new type of trojan virus ang PC ko,na naging dahilan ng pagcrash ng PC ko.  And for some reason hindi siya nadedetect nung Avira but everytime na dindeep scan ko siya ng Bit Defender, dun siya na detect but the problem is ang nakalagay “no possible action taken” and the worst thing is everytime na nirurun ko ang deep scan ng Bit Defender nawawala lahat ng nasa desktop ko pati ang “cursor” so the only possible way to restore is to restore manually. Not being aware of nagkakagulo na pala yung mga IT namin sa US at dito sa Makati  na may nadetect yung system na nagdodownload ng malicious software and to be specific new breed of “Trojan Virus” and na trace nila sa Station ko and ang specific na website ng pinanggalingan is “Bit Defender”  sa madali’t salita iniscan nila yung station ko and positive of Trojan Virus.

So for now, my big lesson is never again to browse any unrelated job websites especially to my workstation. And at the same time, if its an “Antivirus Website” It doesn’t mean that it is a virus free sites. Which make sense:?

sir, ang mas magandang solution ay alisin mo na yung isang resident antivirus mo... may tendency kasi na magconflict yung 2 antivirus programs mo...pag nagcollide ang 2 yan sa mga system files na binabantayan nila, dyan na maguumpisa ang mga problema mo which includes program crashes or eventually crashing your whole system...and sometimes viruses tend to bypass these multiple antivirus programs who are competing to "arrest" the same virus...

Actually tinanggal ko na yung isang antivirus which is yung "Bit Defender" haha! and tininira ko na lang yung Avira! base na rin sa performance na pinakita niya, at the same time isa siya sa may pinaka magandang rating sa lahat ng antivirus ayon sa product review nabasa ko in terms of protection sa mga virus at sa mga error ng mga system. Thanks for the tips!

gamit ka rin ng Avast, may boot-in deep scan feature pa siya, as in bago mag-bootup ang Windows mo, magsi-system scan muna siya...
