that's probably why people idolize the flashy drummers, not the disciplined ones, like john robinson (not the 80's rapper), who happens to be among the most recorded drummers in history.
tek faustino is that kind of a musician. his best skill to his ability to keep time and rhythm, which is surprisingly not characteristic of most drummers who do the flashy stuff (batu-bato sa langit...). it would be interesting to note that all lot of drummers who solo well can't keep time. among his best assets too is his great memory. all he needs to learn a long medley is to listen to it twice...
kadalasan, yung mga hindi nagagalingan kay tek, ang hinahanap nila yung mga mahihirap na ginagawa ng ibang drummer, o kaya yung mga mahihirap na solo at binabaligtad na palo at umiikot na 'stick'... kung minsan , nakakalimutan na ng mga drummer kung ano talaga ang trabaho nila...(batu-bato ulit...)
