Sunud-sunod mga failure ata ng system mo. I really suggest checking your power supply especially kung generic sya..

To be clear, PSU stands for Power Supply Unit. This is the one that feeds power to the motherboard, drives, fans, and sometimes vidcard. Generic supplies are notorious for going bad in very subtle stages or catastrophically sometimes (pumuputok).

I recently discovered na yung AVR ko was putting out too high voltage naman! Around 260VAC!  :-o Kung di ko na-measure ng multitester yan, I'm sure puputok eventually ang power supply ko. Nag straight UPS na lang ako since then; for 110V, naka transformer na lang ako. If you want medyo sure na AVR, look for the moving coil designs (yung mga naunang AVR na mabigat).

why? what's wrong with my dynamo 450watt dual fan unit? he he.
yup, for serious pc computing a branded power supply is recommended.

Task, Enermax, Hec, Antec will do.

try opening the cpu case (high voltaes/currents inside, take precautionary measure like unplugging from the ac outlets, and turning on the power switch to discharge the power caps.) and just removing the data cables and power cable on your floppy disk to verify.

No offense, Nonoy, but I was just reading this TPC thread:wink:

Just to be clear, not just any branded. Even certain Antec and Enermax models have been criticized for performing rather inadequately under rated load conditions. It really pays to do your research when you got your eye on a branded PSU. Wish someone would bring in Seasonic and Silverstone brands.

yup you should never mess around with generic power supplies when you are using high end boards and processors...

this is also a good read:

you missed out on the tpc thread wherein this guy's dynamo psu actually blew up...
