try using the firewall in windows xp sp2
http://knowledgebase.its.bethel.edu/articles/93/

and select the exceptions tab.  this is where you may manually have to enter the websites, or you may simply increase the security level...

or you may install a software firewall...

ayos ang nick mo ah, he he

some antivirus apps have site restriction add on's (either norton or mcaffee).  you have to enter a password to be able to unblock those sites, plus it has a built-in dictionary of unpleasant search words that will be automatically blocked if ever a child felt "curious" while googling his homework.

The only service I know is netnanny. Haven't had any experience with them, though.

By the way, when choosing a site, don't blatantly display that the site is "blocked." Gawin mong connection error lang. Kids kasi nowadays pag alam nilang blocked, gagawa talaga ng paraan para ma-view yung site. Kunwari down lang ang ISP, hehe.

well if your using xp its simple open your browser and go to the tools menu.  Select internet options and go to the content tab.  On the top there is enable content adviser.  You can add that site that your son goes to to the disapproved sites and increase the filter of what content is accessible.  when you click apply it will prompt you for a password so that the settings cant be changed by anyone but you:)

Hope that helps! poor son hehehehehe joke :) kasi kasi...nahuli :P
