try mo upgrade processor mo..

check for your recently installed softwares, minsan nag cconflicts sa system mo.

marami factor kung bakit nag ccrash, try to reinsert your mem (minsan nag eeratic yang mga yan, and ddr 133? wala yan, prolly your refering sa sd mem) or even videocards, try reinsert, as long na may nakikita ka sa monitor, its not the hardware, unless your playing quake 4 on a 1.7ghz, mahihirapan, but still it doesnt auto reset your pc, mag hhang lng.

and you ishimaro, how come celeron class are not reliable when comes to games? 2.6ghz are fair speed for processing, yes, we all know p4 are much faster than celeron simple bcoz there differ from bustype.

why blame the poor celeron, 3d games are dependent on vidcards. and for his case its not the cpu that has a problm.

its based on my experience..

2 PC namen sa bahay.. 1 celeron tapos 1 pentium 4 n processor. 2.6Ghz ung Celeron D namen nd the other 1 is a 2.4Ghz Pentium 4.

playing world of warcraft on private server, using 512mb, geforce5200 and a poor 478 celeron 1.6. works fine, thou may chopy minsan (because of the card and lack of mem), isa lng ang cause ng freezing when i play, servers offline.

so why in heaven does your high end, pricey pc hangs on RF that can run smoothly on my pc.

na solve ko na yung problem, it seems masyadong overclock yung videocards na Geforce 5500 kaya nag-underclock ako by 1/4 and it's now running fine

yeah im a sftware engr sa pc usualy a good pc revolves around 3 things only..processor, ram and your videocard.  Usually its not really the processor thats most people's problem.  Processors are generally really fast even if your only using a celeron 1.7 which in my opinion is a wise choice for budget gamers.  Pentium 4 above are generally designed for hardcore processing mostly in handling heavier applications.

What really bottlenecks alot of pc's is your ram.  You can imaging the processor spamming out information at fast speeds but can only go as fast as our other pcs of hardware meaning even if your using a 2.6 processor but on 256 or 512 ram you'll still feel the lag.  Especially if your running exp the minumum ram requirement is 256 to run it.  Lalo pag maggames ka at least yes you should invest in 1 gig to make life easier:)  Same goes for video cards andami ngyn sa market:)  For me for a much nicer gaming experience i do recommend the 6600 or 6800.  Although i did used to have a 5500 also dati it worked quite well:)  On games its just the effects you have to check that your video card can handle without that much problems.  But still load up on mega ram if you've got the budget:)

korek ka dyan kuya.

if your planning to upgrade your video cards, nvidias 6 series works great, not only it has the support of filtering that 5500 does not hav, its also cheapeer nowadays. at kung may pera kayo tulad ni ishimaro, buy the 7 series.
