Okay lets start a new thread here para sa proposed blues night this august.

Okay guys, I need a list of bands. 3-4 sana, all blues.

This is the tentative arrangement. No tickets are required because this will be a direct event by Purple Haze, bale ba the bands are booked by the venue directly (I'll be helping out in the middle na lang of course).

Like most things in the Indie scene, walang bayad ang banda :D But we can all agree to come and have our own mini-party.

So there. We need 3-4 bands and after their sets, we put in a free-for-all blues jam for the last hour or two that we're allocated.

What say you ? Blues bands, raise your hands if you're in ! Blues Jammers be heard ! :D

Okay change theme. What about Classic Rock night ? Parang nangyari nung PerfJam :D Hendrix, clapton etc ?

Hi bamf - baka kasi some of the guys are thinking about the timing.  personally, i'd like to see and be part of more of this jams. but i know there are some upcoming gigs/jams very near that date your propose:

july 28 conspi - blue rats gig
aug 5 gweilo's - blues benefit for egay (3rd of 4)
aug 15 conspi - blues benefit for egay (4th of 4/ final)
aug 25 - blues-rock production gig at mag:net (c/o tele_tubby)

baka humahanap lang ng magandang timing.  :-)

Kayow ! Genre-unspecific akow !

Sinasabi ko lang, binigyan tayo ng isang gabi in August ng Haze. Now how do we want to spend that one night ? Blues ? Classic Rock ? Metal ? Importante lang ay magsama-sama ulit tayo. :D

Saka we have to make it "out of the way", meaning Mon-Thursday, para malaki ang chance na unoccupied pa yung slot :d

Okay din ako metal. Iko-konsulta ko muna kung paano, kasi nga syempre ayaw ng masiraan ng gamit ng venue. Last I checked, averse sila sa hardcore punk saka Emo. I think it has something to do with equipment longevity than genre :D

Or ano open na lang ? Basta forumites ? Pwede din yun :D Pero dapat meron munang set bands na forumites bago open jam. Lam nyo na it's still a public place, hindi na sya private party like dati. :D Basta...you know what I mean :D

Post your suggestions muna before we proceed.

how about just a production that features bands of forumites? thatway we wont be listening to one genre, but here are some twists that i can think of:

1. every prod night has a theme. for example, a beatles night would require the bands to load at least 50% of their set with beatles songs.

2. lets create a directory of people AND their birthdays and schedule them on that date and if it's a weird day like monday, schedule it on the nearest and most convenient date. :)

K sounds good. Open genre basta forumites.

Charles, kahit hindi 3 songs, pag 3 na banda lang ang dumating, you can have a full set of 7 songs.

Sige punta muna akong Haze tom. Masyado na ata malapit ang August 1.

I'll get a date muna then ask for confirmation.

Me, I will defintely watch and pay for my own beer.

And I won't criticize (constructive or otherwise) the bands nor the guitar players. I will enjoy their music without question.

kulas kapag available ako pwde ako mag drums ng grunge. I played drums for 6 years.
