naaalala niyo pa ba tong bandang to?  the only song I really remember from them is yung song that starts out with "kapag nakita ka, ako'y natutuwa."  I'm posting this becuase I remember them to be a glam band who had their appearances in numerous noon time shows in the 90's.  Any info fellas?  malupet gumitara yung afro ng may bangs na singer nila if memory serves...

hindi rockstar yung "kapag nakita ka ako'y natutuwa" father and sons ang alam kong kumanta nun, hehe. di ko lang maalala yung kinanta ng rockstar, hehe.

Vingo and Jimmy Regino aka April Boys kumanta niyan.  Sana ay Mahalin mo rin Ako ang title, from their first album after April "Boy" Regino went solo. 

Pero para sa akin iisa lang ang tunay na Rockstar, yung banda ni Paul Sapiera.  Ewan ko kung san nanggaling yung iba't ibang incarnation.

paul Sapiera yung original na Rockstar group,Sila yung kumanta ng "Parting time,Mahal pa rin Kita".Ang galing mg gitara nun,idol un.After ng 1st album nila,ntapos na ata yung contract nila as Rockstar.Yung Ronckstar2 Hindi na sina paul Sapiera,it was a new group na diko nagustohan.Then Paul had a new band called "ARKASIA"I like his music a lot,sad thing is I can`t Even find a copy of thier record this days.

just heard it from the grapevine fellas...the frontman and axeman of Rockstar 2 is/was Joseph Aldana...and yes he also had long hair and bangs...

Rockstar was headed by Paul Sapiera, a Gapo boy na tisoy. He writes songs well, he sings great, plays the guitar marvelously. A real Rockstar... moreso a glamrocker. Had the chance to work with them once when we were still in Viva records. The band was then managed by the great songwriter/manager Vehnee Saturno. When things went awry, they bolted out from Mr. Saturno's stable and went on their own, but unfortunately, the name ROCKSTAR was Mr. Saturno's creation... the reason why Mr. Sapiera's band had to rename their group, and ARKASIA was born. From the sweet-rock style of Rockstar... the band transcended into a more driving, more aggressive style which was then called "arena-rock"... But their music, although with Tagalog lyrics, was way ahead of its time, and the current hit then was the sound of the April Boys. So, here goes Viva & Mr. Saturno, with their thinktanks... wanting to get a share of the market's revenue that the rival recording company rakes in because of their April Boys.... they came up with an April Boys clone/rip-off... called Rockstar2... a duet headed by singer Joseph Aldana... with a voice that can sing Air Supply songs with such ease...  And the rest is history.... NO.... fukk history... and the rest is.... commercialism, whilst throwing real creativity and sheer talent down the garbage bin... Well... I HAVE NOTHING AGAINST ANYONE... kapatid ko lahat yan sa industriya.... only thing is... wala tayong magagawa... the companies HAVE to earn. period!  :-D :-D :-D

pero sino tatalo kay Ted Ito?

Ted Ito?  Another talent/product of the great Vehnee Saturno. Mgaling si Ted Ito, novelty singer cya in a way... kc, he is Japanese... singing Japanese songs, pero Tagalog lyrics... andun ang novelty nun... teka.. OT na yata tayo, tol... dapat yata nasa VOCAL BOOTH ito. wehehehee   :-D

Tangnang kanta yan!  Yan ang pamatay!  Ewan ko kung narinig ko na lahat ng versions.  Meron si Keempee, meron yung Fire (yung matabang tisay at payat na kayumanggi), etc, etc. :-D

...Abahh... pati nga yung isang sikat at magaling na world-class award-winning singer na si Ivy Violan, pinatulan yang kanta na yan nuon eh... ini-record din nya. Well, cgrado ko naman, upon the "command" of the higher-ups din sa recording company nya nuon. ... ooopsss... tekaaa... OT na yata talaga tayo ah. Sinabi mo - kinakanta at sinasayaw ng mga bulilit ko yan!! 

May commercial ang Biogesic na pinpromote nila ung gamot nila para sa sakit ng ulo dahil sa Last Song Syndrome... ung DJ na kumakanta ng "Bagay ba sa kin ang kulot.... Bagay ba sa kin ang kulot..."    :-D
