Start here,
explore and master rythm(chords)
express your feelings through rythm
Then remove the chromatic pattern, that you always do ,in your system.
then study scales, master it, then feel it.
(practice eargasmic bendings, hammers, pull offs and slides.) combine them
after that, you should be able to
play feel solos. (letting your guitar sing)
if you think you can make your guitar sing and not repeating what you hit.
its time to narrow down and specify your type of genre, which in your case is blues/jazz.
my tip is just listen to solos of your type, then get it and mix it up with other [gooey brown stuff].
when i learned how to make a guitar sing, i dont know what genre im playing. but my friends keep telling me that im a jazz player. unknowingly, i sounded like one.
But that doesnt mean i cant play/excel in other genre when i make a solo. i listend blues, i learned blues....
well, i guess you have to figure out what genre you produce when you try to make a guitar sing.
