PCX vs other pc shops

according to PCX's return policy, they'll replace a defective item on the spot if returned within a week after purchasing. they also have an exchange policy within a 48-hour period.

i just completed an RMA process through PCX. it took a whole month for my 6-month old motherboard to be replaced. while it does barely meeting their estimate, other shops like Rising Sun or Villman can do it within two weeks. furthermore, i returned the board along with the box and manual (the PCX job order slip clearly indicated as such). and what i got today was the board with a bare generic box. i don't care much about the box but the manual is pretty important to me.

i know the distro is more at fault here than PCX. what really bothers me is that the PCX techs didn't really care i.e. "wala sir e. kung ano yung dumating sa amin, yun na yun." di man lang nag-offer na i-follow up sa distro. as a customer, i find that disturbing.

now, i just take comfort from the fact that i was lucky enough to actually receive a motherboard. i didn't press it any further by demanding a box and manual. di bale na lang. i just hope the board i got actually works.

i never really liked buying from PCX. but now i've really had enough. di na talaga ako bibili sa kanila. ever.

Try mo po sa greenhills, sa shoppesvilles plus...look for Acenet computer...Competitive prices, good warranties and Good service. recomended! Look for Danny, tell him na may nag refer lang. try nyo po lang mag canvas...God bless...

my BIG QUESTION:

Kapag bibili ako ng RAM sa PCX, puwede bang i memory check yun dun sa PCX, before buying(for RAM errors)? yun sana ang balak ko kapag maguupgrade ako ng RAM ng PC ko, gusto kong masiguro na walang RAM errors yung bibilhin ko...(MEMTEST yung software for checking ram errors)

pwede, ganun ginagawa ko pag bumibili ako ram sakanila.

kung integrity check talaga gusto mo, you'll need to run memtest overnight at the very least. so, walang kuwenta mag-patakbo nun sa PCX kung mga ilang minuto lang.

ok, kung sakalaing bumili ako sa kanila ng bagong RAM, then iovernight memtest ko yun sa bahay then, suddenly, may RAM errors pala yun... pwede ko bang ibalik sa kanila yung RAM?(papalitan ba kaagad nila? di ko marecall kung may log file yung memtest, pero yun ba ang mag seserve as proof?

anyway, baka makapag recommend kayo ng brands ng RAM, yung kingston talagang swabe ba?

Kingston? Okay na okay yan! hindi lang swabe...matibay pa...naka-basa ako ng article nila sa magazine kung pano nila test-burn yung mga memory nila, grabe! Go for kingston, kahit nga mga flash disk nila panalo pa din eh. God bless.

I've had nothing but good experience from PC Options sa Gilmore. Bought a few PCs for assembly from them over the years.

They're about php50 cheaper than other stores.

Wala naman bad experience sa staff nila and are generally very helpful and do their job well. They do feel for the customers and follow up kung medyo natatagalan ka na. Normally kasi madami tao dito.

Yun return policy naman is within 1 week of sale deretso palit, otherwise pag more than 1 week, babalikan mo na lang pag pinalitan ng supplier nila.

If you're going to Gilmore check them out and compare them with the other stores and see kung ok sa yo.
